Should we go for Sheed, ONeal or other?

It seems that Rasheed Wallace will be available for a trade. Should the Bulls go for it? It's risky but it just 1 year of contract and probably would not be to hard to get him. If he is motivated it would boost up the Bulls... O Neal bring the health risk but he would also boost our post game. I can't see any other player who would not cost too much for the Bulls unless the Bobcats would give Emeka for Hinrich which I doubt....

Sheed > Oneal > Emeka

Love sum sheed in the black and red..but it depends on the figures..he’s prob got abot 3-4 left in the tank

by Belize on Jun 4, 2008 11:01 PM CDT reply actions

1 year left on Sheeds contract. No scoring in the paint though. Lets not go for anymore old Pistons. I would trade Sheed for Hughes and Tyrus.

by TRiCioNeRo on Jun 4, 2008 11:02 PM CDT reply actions

Go for DeAndre Jordan we can get him if he doesnt go in the top 5 (Where he thinks)

by TRiCioNeRo on Jun 4, 2008 11:06 PM CDT reply actions

DeAndre Who???

What has this guy done to be a top 5 or even top 10 pick in the draft. At A&M he only averaged like 7 or 8 points a game and I think 6 or 7 rebounds. What is so special.

by FUTURE12 on Jun 5, 2008 12:34 AM CDT up reply actions

Low to no risk involved wed have 10x more to gain than lose by picking him up.

by Belize on Jun 4, 2008 11:16 PM CDT reply actions

emeka

Emeka’s the guy we should get for Hinrich.

by JohnnyKilroy on Jun 4, 2008 11:29 PM CDT reply actions

i don't want him.

his offensive game has come no where since college.

by swede2287 on Jun 4, 2008 11:47 PM CDT up reply actions

Consistant at 14 per game. I think you could see a jump to 18 and 12 guy.

by TRiCioNeRo on Jun 5, 2008 12:03 AM CDT up reply actions

good point

want the bobcat they didn’t use him the way they should have. with the bulls he would easy average 18 and 10.

by FUTURE12 on Jun 5, 2008 12:41 AM CDT up reply actions

i'd like to go for o'neal

but not the other two. I think he needs a new start – and he’s proven to be an elite post player in this league. Injuries are the only concern – so i’d like to see how he’s progressing with those.

by swede2287 on Jun 4, 2008 11:50 PM CDT up reply actions

question is....

are we gettin the blazers oneal, early pacers oneal or the present day garbage

by Belize on Jun 4, 2008 11:52 PM CDT up reply actions

How bout Brand?

I liked how he looked at the end of the season…plus hes consistant..shoulda never made him go

by Belize on Jun 4, 2008 11:57 PM CDT reply actions

Getting Brand...

would cost a lot to the Bulls. Might be worthy but that means Paxson taking a lot of bold decision – ain’t gonna happen

by JustAnotherFan on Jun 5, 2008 12:20 PM CDT up reply actions

Who will coach him?

Somehow I don’t see Rasheed Wallace and Doug Collins getting along all that well. One of them might end up hospitalized by Christmas.

by Big D on Jun 5, 2008 12:03 AM CDT reply actions

No more Pistons…. its a curse ooooooooooo

We Got Gooden

for the corpse, so it wasn’t totally awash

by gman2849 on Jun 5, 2008 1:56 PM CDT up reply actions

HA! Hey…sheed plays better like that…chances are he breaks the Tech record and takes us to the championship…itll be like the 2k version or rodman..lol

by Belize on Jun 5, 2008 12:12 AM CDT reply actions

Maybe move to New Jersey and call ourselves the Trash Men. Or to Florida and be a retirement home / B&B for aging Piston players. I mean im sure Cleveland will take him if he blows.

by TRiCioNeRo on Jun 5, 2008 12:16 AM CDT reply actions

No Sheed!!!

I thought that after Ben Wallace we had had enough my the Pistons rejects.

by FUTURE12 on Jun 5, 2008 12:27 AM CDT reply actions

Al Jefferson, #3 and next years 1st for our #1 and Hinrich and Thomas

by TRiCioNeRo on Jun 5, 2008 12:45 AM CDT reply actions

people i dont want the bulls to get.....

Rasheed Wallace(no more pistons past their prime please!!!)
Anybody the Trailblazers offer for Hinrich(unless its Oden,Aldrige, or Roy lol)
T Mac/Jermaine Oneal(hurt way to much)
Shaq(somebody had a post about gettin this bum!!!)
Iverson(another ball hog past his prime)

People i would love to see in a bulls uniform…

Brand(he is not injury prone just had one major injury i expect him to bounce back)
Magette(big scoring 2 guard we could use)
Melo(for obvious reasons he is a scoring machine..if u can live with ben gordon not playin d y not Melo)
Okafor(he is underrated he has a few post moves can give u a solid 16 and 12 a game…he is monster on defense..picture our interior d with him a Noah!!!)
D Wade(my only concern is if he starts becoming injury prone but if he can stay healthy he is a superstar and still young)

CHICAGO MANE!!!!

by YEP on Jun 5, 2008 8:48 AM CDT reply actions

I like Magette..

and I thought Shaq got a bad wrap this year (he would have been awsome if Dantoni actually played him 20 minutes).....dont like Emeka – and I really don’t have a solid reason beside the fact that I think in 2 years, he’s gonna be really injury prone (wasn’t his back bad in college?)

by Belize on Jun 5, 2008 11:57 AM CDT up reply actions

I like Okafor

How ‘bout Mike Miller instead of Magette?

Of course, this interest would be largely ‘cause we’d look to get a “donation” from them like the Lakers did, but Memphis’ owner might’ve learned something since then, unfortunately.

The public wants what the public gets....

by marionette on Jun 5, 2008 4:42 PM CDT up reply actions

what if that means losing Hughes and Hinrich for cap releif?

by TRiCioNeRo on Jun 6, 2008 12:56 AM CDT up reply actions

O'Neal would boost up our post game?

Again, everyone keeps thinking they have the answer to the Bulls post void. It’s Beasley and his convenient perimeter based game, now it’s Sheed with his. No one disputes that Sheed can score in the post, but tell me, how eager has Sheed looked to score in the post, not just with Detroit but over his entire career? Tell me, what is the main complaint about Sheed aside from his distractions? Is it that he refuses to be milked in the post, preferring to play on the perimeter? Tell me, this is supposed to get better now that he’s in his mid-30s, a time where even previous post players have moved out of the paint? Tell me, what other fanbase in the league supporting a 33 win team with the youngest roster in the NBA thinks their team is one 33-year old player, reputed to be a team distraction, away from contending for the title?

by messwiththebull on Jun 5, 2008 9:26 AM CDT reply actions

We just need a scorer

I don’t think we necessarliy need a guy who catches the ball in the post with his back to the basket and makes moves and scores. That would be great but we really just need a guy who can score and/or get his own shot and draw attention from the defense to make it easier on Gordon, Hinrich, Deng, Noce or whoever ends up being on our team next year to get more open looks, since none of them are great creators. It will also make it easier for guys like Noah, Tyrus, Gooden to get more easy dunks and garbage buckets when their men go help.

If this player happens to be a wing, then I think we still need a big who can shoot and draw some attention and be efffective on pick & roll/pick & pop situations.

Guys like O’Neal and Wallace could be worth it depending on who we give up and whether or not we’re trying to be competitive now or just start over ( I think the East is wide open and we should be competitive now. After a couple seasons in the playoffs and Rose or Beasley in their 3rd year, we may be ready to be contenders). Neither guy has much left on his contract either. Melo and Mcgrady fit the bill, but I doubt either is going anywhere. Brand fits the bill. Okafor doesn’t, cause he can’t score or shoot and would just duplicate what our bigs already do. Maggette doesn’t either, cause he’s more of a #3 option, and if you’re talking about replacing Gordon at the 2 with him, we have no shooting, which means no spacing and room for bigs to score or guards to penetrate.

Same with Jermaine

Wrong name in the title but same response.

by messwiththebull on Jun 5, 2008 9:26 AM CDT reply actions

if the price is right....

i say if the bulls truely want Oneal(JERMAINE NOT SHAQUILLE)...i would give em kirk and gooden and maybe next yrs 2nd rounder….same deal for brand(prolly next yrs 1st rounder)....worst case scenerio if we cant make a deal we still have drew gooden he is not a bad backup plan and his contract is expiring he might be valuable when the trading deadline comes

CHICAGO MANE!!!!

by YEP on Jun 5, 2008 12:31 PM CDT reply actions

Make 'em take Hughes...

Not that I care for Gooden any more than Mr Terrible Shot, but have you seen J O’Neal’s contract?

The public wants what the public gets....

44 mil in 2? kobe doesn’t even get this kind of money.

Doesn't matter

Jermaine isn’t opting out of his contract, so trading for his massive contract would be ludicrous and just idiotic. Shaq is fat and isn’t in true playing shape until around the All-Star break. Pass.
