PrintThe Spurs sent an e-mail to every team in the league at 3:30 p.m. saying that they were willing to move the 26th pick. The e-mail asked league executives to "E-mail us your interest and your offers to 26."

indicated that the Spurs completely forgot that the draft was this month. The Spurs GM was quoted, “Oh shit! You mean it’s JUNE 26th and not JULY 26th?”
the source also later
quoted the following from Spurs GM R.C. Buford, ”... so can we pick up this Beasley kid?”
