Best player on Bulls?
Now that most things (except the draft, and the contracts) Who do you think the best player is? I mean Gooden I think is a great low post presence who can score, but his lack of stamina effects his play. And gordon can come big in clucht but we all know about his inconsistency and defense and ball handling, and Deng wasnt Deng of 06. And will our pick be the best player immediately? So who do you like?

Hard to say with Ben Wallace gone.

How can you even suggest Wallace,
when we lost ADrain’s veteran sagginess at the same time? There’s got to be at least a debate between the two, dyk?
Here's to the most exciting offseason in a VERY long time!

I remember the good ol days
In 2005 i think it was when skiles came out and said that he thought kirk might be the best player on the team at the time (gordon and deng were in thier sophmore years)....i dont care what you think of hinrich now, but i think alot of people at that time expected kirk to really be the second coming of someone great….maybe he still will be….maybe…

Without a doubt
Noah he just doesnt play enough minutes yet per 48 hes a 15 13 2 2 2 guy not bad for a rookie.
I never exhaled Joakim Noah

he doesn't play enough
because they have to take him out when he starts getting abused by bigger players. When he adds 20-30 lbs., then he’ll be in the running for best player. This team wasn’t good enough last year to have a best player.
2008 or bust.

Despite everything
I still pick Gordon. He has many obvious flaws, but out of all the players that last few years, if you are down 15 going into the 4th quarter you are most likely looking for Gordon to get hot and get us back into the game. Because he is capable to do it, has done it before, and seems to be more able to do it than most of the other players. It would take three of our other players striking gold to have the same effect Gordon does when he turns it on.
I don’t really expect anyone we pick to be able to do that out of the gate, but either of them could I suppose. Having a guard who can actually attack the rim could do us wonders. Having a forward who is more offensively skilled could do wonders too. But for me the best player is the one that can quickly change the course of the game for better despite any deficit and for us thus far that is Gordon at the moment. I’d love to have more players who want to be the best and back it up with results and confidence and a little personality.

do you remember that time when we were playing Portland (I think) the clock was winding down we were down by 1 and Ben Goron slipped and fell with the ball when noone was around him…....? Probably not. I mean I was there in MADISON SQUARE GARDEN when Ben hit the game winner but that was as a rookie something changed this year he flat out sucked. Oh and by the way I almost got my ass kicked at the GARDEN that game even though the train st ation is 2 seconds away I had to hop in a cab.

Ben's blunders are memerable
but people seemed to forget the numerous on12-0 runs he goes on just to get us back into the game close enough for us to be one possession away during the last seconds. I don’t particularly like him taking the last shot unless he is shooting from a set position since when he gets the ball early he has to try to create a shot and they double team him, he trips, doesn’t get a foul, and looks terrible. Perhaps with another guy out there capable and getting double teamed players like Gordon would be more open to make those shots more consistently. Still, I stand by my earlier assessment that Gordon often gets us back into the game in order to have those opportunities, even if he doesn’t make the winning shot all the time. Taking in the last few years I mean. No one was particularly good last year of course and I don’t expect them to be that bad again.

The Biggest Problem on the team
Is there is no pecking order. We have a collection of equally skilled players and no one player who is discernibly better than the next. It kills our team chemistry because there is not good reason for Hinrich and Hughes to start in front in Thabo and BG…there is no good reason for Deng starting in front of Noc. Then there are the salaries that are out of whack, we are paying over $8 million to be a chucker off the bench and were paying our worst starter (Wallace) $15 million. Pax needs to consolidate some of this “talent”

uh...whoops
I meant to say “That’s your example”?
I generally agree that it’s a problem, but Deng should start instead of Noc because he’s better.
But overall, sure it’s not as clear cut as you’d like, they have a lot of ‘meh’ players, and it leads to tougher decisions, usually factoring in things that shouldn’t be.

Aaorn Gray!!!!!
lol…nah seriously i pick Luol because he is a all around player, he can shoot the mid range j slash to da hoop grab 6-8 rebounds a game and play solid defense…Gordon is streaky(but when he gets hot watch out!!) and bad on defense…Kirk is average on offense and above average on d(he had a bad yr on both last yr)....if u fast forward to 2028 and look back my guess is out of the BIG 3 Luol will end up having the best career overall

Chris Duhon by a mile
He had the best individual performance by a Bull last season (02/08/2008) against Golden State. Imagine if he had been given more minutes. He could seriously be our answer to Chris Paul and Deron Williams. That stat line he had on that day was phenomenal (34 points, 9 assists, 3 steals)!
Nocioni is a distant second. His intensity, never-say-die attitude and take charge persona propelled the Bulls to more than half of their victories. Imagine a Line-up of Brook Lopez©, Nocioni (PF), Deng (SF), Corey Brewer (SG) and Duhon (PG). We would rule the East.

Wow, talk about asking for a return ticket to the lottery
Actually, that lineup may even guarantee the most ping pong balls

Don't diss the Du
I am to Chris Duhon what Sue369 is to Captain Kirk(y).

you like Duhon in that way? Interesting…

Dude
If you left Sue all alone in a room with Kirk for an hour, would anything happen? Same thing with me, nothing except conversation.

I think to be able to hang out with Duhon, you'd have to do a couple body shots

Du is the best point guard the bulls have on the roster right now.

Deng is #1
Loul is the best player because he could drive to the basket without doing the damn giant killer, he can shoot the jumper, he can defend, he can rebound and he has some post moves. But it wasn’t hard to be the best player on the bulls this year.

Post moves?
Who can he post up, Jamal Crawford or other super-skinny wing players?

If you are talking
only about this year, i’d say NOAH. If you are referring about the roster, maybe DENG or, why not, HINRICH. I just don’t include Gordon, because I think he is a little bit selfish and he struggles on defence.
When are you going to do something good Pax?

JOAKIM NOAH!!!!!!!!!!
Went to my 1st Bulls game ever this year against Denver and him Thomas looked unbeatabull….plus I loved his statement about respecting the jersey
