BG speaks about VDN
"I think everybody's a little surprised," Gordon said. "There's obviously a lot more I have to learn about him as a player who's going to be playing for him. There's a lot he's going to have to prove, because nobody knows anything."
"I'm just looking forward to seeing what kind of style of play he's going to want from us, whether it's Phoenix up-tempo style, I'm just ready for whatever, basically," Gordon added. "I don't know what to expect."

they really should make a run at Thibs
getting him as top assistant would make the Del Negro hire much more palatable.

Wasn't Gordon the only player who responded to the other coaching hires as well?

yep
I noticed the same thing too. I think Deng has given a comment or two, but usually it’s just the company line

Thabo was interviewed about Collins on CSN a while back.
He said he had looked him up on the internet or something of that nature, but for the most part played it safe with what he said. He didn’t seem excited about Collins.
Gordon's right about one thing, but...
He’s right that VDN will have a lot to prove, but should those words really be coming from his mouth at this point in his career? It just seems to me that he’s not in the position to say something like that when he hasn’t even proven he can play point or defend at the 2. He certainly hasn’t proven he’s worth more than 10 million a year. He may be a proven scorer, but to me, even though he’s been in the league for 4 years, that statement makes it sound like he’s an all-star player. Maybe I’m just stirring up a stupid debate, but that’s JMO.

I don't think it was as threatening so you're making it out to be

It's how threatening it sounds to Pax and Reinsdorf
I’d give Ben the benefit of doubt, but we’re talking about a team that doesn’t like too many deviations from the company line.
I noticed the same thing, but I'm willing to give Ben the benefit of the doubt.
It’s been widely published that Gordon is a voracious internet reader, that he follows everything—and I think he just got caught using some of the words that have popped up in the internet VDN talk.
I’d say the comment was interesting, but probably benign.

Yea, I am too...
BG does do a lot of internet reading it sounds like. I don’t think the comment will get him into trouble at all, but I just found it noteworthy.
