Noah stopped by cops again!
[From the fanshots. The lesson, as always: stay out of Gainesville. -ed.]
Tough weekend in Gainesville for Joakim. This sounds like stuff that could happen to anyone, but you'd think he'd be more careful after his arrest earlier in the weekend.

Not wearing a seat belt?
I will laugh it off, but seriously are you an idiot Noah? You aren’t a superstar that is going to be protected by Billy Donovan and athletic boosters anymore, you’re just another NBA player that is an easy target to arrest for a million different things. I thought the NBA had a rookie camp that taught them how to not act like buffoons.

I'm confused
Noah DID NOT KNOW his license was suspended?
Are the police playing with him, or is he just dumb?
by KentuckyBullsFan on May 27, 2008 1:56 PM CDT 0 recs
Or are you dumb?
It’s a fairly common thing to have a license suspended and not know it. Hence, why there’s a specific law for it.

give him a break
I didn’t know that either. I’ve always assumed that if your license was suspended, you knew about it. It’s not a widely known thing.

I should point out, though, if you can plead ignorance to something...
...and the cop believes you on the spot, it’s probably more widespread than one would imagine. I know it takes a little more thought than just lambasting a player on first reaction, so I forgive.

I didn't know that either, for the record.
Thanks for enlightening us in such a thoughtful manner, though.

Good God
this is getting absurd. Fool needs to get back to the Berto center. Quickly.

LMAO at the editorial note.
Having had the pleasure of some encounters with the Gainsville police, nothing could be more accurate.
Tyrus better do something illegal soon, or he is going to lose his title as the Chicago Bulls’ resident miscreant.

The chances for an improved jumpshot
and maybe even some low post moves just went up again. But so did the chances for him to get included in a larger deal…

I'd say the chances of Noah showing up to practice and PR events on time
improved significantly. Being a goofball in Florida finally caught up with him, maybe he’ll take his job more seriously.

I'm no expert, but?
Dear God, the only crime a University rent-a-cop could find on a Memorial Day weekend
was a particular (even familiar, hmm…) Seven Foot Tall baby face Black guy in a Hummer doing twelve miles per hour over the speed limit?!? In South Florida Third only to Vegas and New Orleans in it’s decadence, it almost makes any lame-ass excuse he might use look credible!

University Cops
Clearly they were just trying to make sure things didn’t get too out of hand in the graduation climate. There’s enough chaos with the seniors – keep those alum off campus!
