Thabo adding to his "assets" this offseason :

Well, his girlfriend gave birth to their first child, a girl.

Not that anyone cares, but he seems happy to spend lots of time with them this next month and a half at least (no, he's not that happy that they are not in the playoffs, but it helps :-) )

Everyone scratch out Hinrich from your excuse lists and replace with Thabo for this coming year. Although Thabo has a lower (potential) fall.

No link

Just got a call yesterday from my godmother, who happens to be the mother of Thabo’s mother’s partner. Sounds complicated :-)

She was excited. Almost like she is a great grand mother now.

Well maybe you can tell us then:

is he a serious and intense person, or is he sort of casual about his whole basketball career? Because while Skiles was losing control of this team, he seemed to be cracking up a lot—and then there was that strange silly string incident. Plus, what does his off-season daily routine consist of?

"It’d be ridiculous to hate someone for simply what they say in a sports blog. But I greatly dislike every syllable of your angst-filled, smarmy, nondescript, half-assed, elitist-garbage responses." –Rogerspark Kris

No,

it just means Thabo will play like a demon because now he has a family to feed. And then reject a Nocioni contract for the same reasons (ala Sprewell). Hmm, on second thought, probably not.

a team full of Good Guys

guys that treat their jobs like a 9-5, drink a limit of 3 beers a week, view the playoffs as overtime and intruding on their family time, and have little girl babies and spent quality family time tying pink ribbons in her hair. (“Don’t get me wrong ..This last thing isn’t a bad thing”).

It’s just the only typical things we hear concerning these guys. Luol will probably go help or draw attention to something worth while again?

This is not your NBA show time bunch! Like ….

Rodman, Tony Park & Eva, Marbury & Strip clubs sex in the car, Stephen Jackson and guns, Jordan, Barley & gambling, portland jailblazers of yesteryear, etc. etc.

Is basketball only baksetball or a mixture of basketball and entertainment? Chicago had an image once… Al Capone and Scottie Pip carrying Guns… Jordan and his hidden madams. Rodman and his dresses.

There's hope.. I can't forget

OnCurry arrested for taking a leak outside of his hotel room…

I guess Thabo and my oldest share a birthday

On a somewhat separate note, I object to “sex in the car” being associated with all of those other, less wholesome things.
