New Trade Machine on ESPN

ESPN is demo-ing(?) their new Trade Machine through TrueHoop.  I had a chance to play around with it, and it's pretty cool.  It calculates the teams record after the trade is made, which is kind of hilarious.  I only tried a couple Corpse trades, but every team that recieved him ended up with a worse record.  Hilarious.  Here's the link:

Enjoy!

Thank you
The Ben Wallace trade for Gadzuric & Simmons drops the Bucks winning percentage by 40%.  I love it.  We need to find a trade that would actually help the other team with Big Ben.

This thing looks cooler
But I don't like that it doesn't say (your trade doesn't work because of the BYC, or this or that, and it doesn't tell you how much you have to add or cut).....it's a lot less fun to just play around with because you have to think a bit more....

Hopefully they'll change that area.

I didn't see that anywhere when I looked.....
I tried it a few times and it would just say

This trade failed, it wouldn't say,

You need to cut $145,000 from team one's salary, etc.....at least from what I saw when I ran a few of them....

Looks better
Operates worse.  They ought to shitcan it and start over.  Every path they're taking it down is a bad one.

The only fun part
is making the Bulls get an 82-0 record. It wasn't that hard. The best I got is an 85-3 record. It helps keep me amused during school though which is great.

Swap Ben Wallace
and filler for Lebron and the Gooden, and the Cavs plummet to 2-80.  I spit a little water on the screen when I saw that.

I got the Bulls to 82-0 by acquiring Lebron, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Aldridge, Gooden for Corpse, Du, Smith, and A-Drain.

You can't seem to copy the link to your trades into other sites either, which kinda blows.

Everyone NEEDS to check this out for themselves...
I traded Ben Wallace and Ben Gordon for Tracy McGrady and it INCREASED the Rockets winning percentage by 9.76%.  It increased the Bulls by 7.35%

by Mattchoo on Feb 8, 2008 9:06 PM CST reply actions

If you have the Rockets
add Scola to the deal, our winning % goes up by 9.76% and Rockets stays at 9.76%

Wow
Even trading Wallace and Duhon for Kmart and Najera helps us win 6 more games....ouch.

I see now that it tells us where the errors are, i don't know what I saw on Friday...
