First post is a trade proposal

Here is a deal that gets us out from under Big Ben's reign of terror.

We would have to eat Isiah's mistake of Jerome James.  However, its one year less then Ben's deal for about 1/3 the price.

Al Horford is the guy a lot of Bulls fans wanted last year.  You know this would fire up Noah even more then usual if he was reunited with an old friend.

speaking of Jerome James
did you see the quote where he thought Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis should owe him a thankyou for doing all the dirty work.  What a joke!  J. James had one good playoff series and then Isiah completely overpaid.
I dont see Atlanta gving up Horford...
I vote for Thomas to play, play more and play regularly.-Sam Smith

a case for Jerome James
They did win 52 games with him and only 37 games without him.

I can't believe he still gets quoted.  Why even say one word?

I completely agree
I do indeed wonder if there's any price that would get him.  Suppose the Bulls offered Gordon and Tyrus, and offered to take back Speedy Claxton's godawful deal too.

(ex: Gordon, Tyrus and Duhon for Horford)

Is there some point where the Hawks would consider it rather than simply hanging up the phone?

Maybe it's a sobering assessment of what Gordon can bring back, because if I were the Hawks I'd still say no to that.  If I were the Bulls, I'd say yes pretty quick.

Welcome to BaB
It's an interesting proposal, but I don't think Atlanta will be parting with Horford any time soon, even for JKidd.  I'm also not sure where this leaves us at forward, as this buries Thomas even deeper, while further thinning our already-depleted guard corps.  In other words we get players where we have them, and lose them where we don't.

Well
it gives Atlanta their point guard, but completely cripples their franchise in the process.

not that he has too much say
but I believe that Kidd has let it be known that he only has 3 destinations on his "list"...Dallas (don't want him), Cleveland (nothing to trade for him), or the Lakers (don't need him).

That's why his supposed "trade" is taking so long to happen.  Lack of suitors.  Atlanta would have the money and even though they've improved, they're nowhere close to being a contender yet.  Kidd only has a few years left...he wants a ring.

Jerome James PER
when you click on that link is 46.68.  That's lie the Bulls whole starting lineup's PER combined.  Do that trade now!  Screw Horford, we don't need him.   Jerome is a monster!!!!!!!!!

Any trade proposal attempting to rid us of
the Corpse is welcome and makes this a good start to BaB.  The Bulls love this, Jersey loves this and this would work for the Knicks.  It needs to be tweeked to get Atlanta on board.  I still love the attempt and welcome.

agreed on all points
chlutz508 is thinking along the right lines - get rid of Wallace for some young talent and a slightly-smaller bad contract.

Kidd is a future Hall of Famer, but I can't see the Hawks giving up Horford, Childress, and Acie Law to get a guy who's 34.

ATL is still in court?
So that's another reason this dream won't happen....

Imagine Hawks w/ C Paul! But they wouldn't have Horford then, would they?

FWIW, I still think Bulls will make the playoffs (passing ATL) once Wallace is gone, or benched after the trade deadline.

alternatives
I would assume some package of picks and cash would need to be sent to Atlanta from the other teams.

They still have a lot of young athletic guys who would benefit from running with Kidd.
