I kind of wish we had McGee.

He’s pretty good. And young! And other stuff!
Woo Dee, too. Though … eh. He doesn’t play too much. They always take him out early.

gordon is starting to bug me

He needs to move the ball quicker and get it to rose when he’s open, and deng should have thrown the lob to d. rose on that 2 on 1.

4 of 5 from the field

and 3 of 4 from the line for Deng so far.

i dont mind all the offensive fouls...

at least we are taking it to the rim………..

by masputo on Dec 6, 2008 8:15 PM CST reply actions

yeah but

noc shouldnt take it to the rim. His lack of agility is astonishing and whenever he tries hes out of control. He really lost a step (and wasnt too agile before). He should only take open jump shots and sit on the bench.

by rosefromconcrete on Dec 6, 2008 8:16 PM CST up reply actions

sometimes...

he shouldn’t even take open jump shots

I usually agree with you...

i know this bc I remember your screen name- but this time I don’t. I’d actually rather him drive than shoot. I think he’s one of the few players on the bulls that aggressively drives straight to the rim and doesnt give a shit who’s in his path.

by smash! on Dec 6, 2008 8:24 PM CST up reply actions

i guess

but it always seems like he committs a charge or gets stripped when he drives. Either way he shouldnt play and the only explanations for his pt are…
1) big contract
2) spread the floor for rose (although its questionable if he still does that)
3) he tries hard???

that luol’s resurgence coincided with him cutting his ridiculous goatee? Its almost like we were forced to suffer through a bizarro luol who couldnt hit the 18 footer for the first 15 games and now we got the real luol back. Or at least I hope thats what happened.

Im starting to see why vdn likes gray

He knows his role and doesnt even think about shooting the ball. I mean, if gooden was on the floor then it would be a contest to see who shoots first and prevents rose from touching the ball. Gray knows only to shoot when hes within 4 feet.

Amazing how that works. Maybe he’s figured it out!

whats the deal with vdn?

Why is he so obsessed with matchups?? Does he feel that he needs to prove that hes qualified to coach one of the major franchises in nba I dont get it. Im still waiting for him to start lindsay hunter because he thinks that he matches up better with billups than rose or something. It should be a big deal when you change the starting lineup, bot because Javale McGee is coming to town. I wish bill simmons lived in chicago…he would definitely write about this every other week.

by rosefromconcrete on Dec 6, 2008 8:36 PM CST reply actions

Tyrus for 5 minutes is unacceptable. VDN come on. Noc is still playing terrible.

Larry is playing well … again. How many more of these games in a row does Larry have to play before we actually trust him? 16 points on just 9 shots in 14 minutes is very very efficient scoring. He’s also got 3 asts and 1 steal 0 turnovers and 0 fouls.

by fundamentallysound on Dec 6, 2008 8:40 PM CST reply actions

I'm waiting until the All-Star break.

If he’s still playing like this then, I’ll renege.

Even I have to admit that Deng looked very good yesterday!!

He looked like a top 5 NBA small forward yesterday. Kudos to Luol for playing a pretty damn good game. Now I have ALWAYS asserted that Deng plays well when the game is fairly one sided in favor of either team and that was indeed that case despited the final score. But that’s because the Bulls played beautifully offensively yesterday. I still believe that Gordon has been playing second best on the Bulls this year and I still need to see Deng come up big when the outcome of the game is a bit more in doubt. If he continues to play anywhere near the level he played yesterday then I’ll be happy with him. Again though, great game by Luol Deng yesterday. It was good to see.

Larry Hughes is playing fantastic.

He really should get some credit for playing the way he is. Totally within the team framework. The only tough shots he’s taking is when we’re up against the clock. And he’s making plays on defense and in the passing game. Not sure he’ll keep it up, but it’s good to see.

I heard Stacey King talking about how he was surprised JaVale McGee didn’t get any minutes.

You know your team sucks when the idiot announcing crew from the opposing team is smarter than your coach.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

We'll give you Noah for him.

"We have to play together and try to find the open shots. We used to play like this. We used to pass the ball three or four times before taking shots. Or we'd penetrate after two or three passes. Right now we shoot or try to go to the basket after the first pass. That's really tough."-Nocioni

Someone forgot to tell your coach that our bigs

are pretty bad and taking it to them is how the Bulls lose.

by Fastbreak on Dec 7, 2008 8:37 AM CST up reply actions

Especially when our "best" bigs are

the 3/4 tweener Nocioni, 4/5 tweener Gooden and slow of foot Gray.

Might as well send Noah to the D-League if he is going to hold down a chair for 48 minutes.

How dare you call Stacey King an idiot

He’s a buffoon at best. Leave Stacey alone!

Man Drew Gooden reminds me of Marcus Fizer in some ways.

I feel like the Bulls have been rebuilding for like 10 years......... oh wait they have!

Gooden is the child of Fizer and Dave Corzine

He has that Dave Corzine whne trying to score inside and a mediocre jumpshot like Fizer. The sad part, he is our best big.

Didnt watch the game but after reading some of the comments here

Matts gonna have a doozy of a “i told you so” post afterwards…

Ben gordon with a massive play on both ends of the court

Luol Deng coming back to norm (i guess)

Nocioni sucking it up

Vinny playing nocioni in unorthodox minutes (he actually played at center?)

Drew Gooden thinking that drew gooden is an allstar (i saw a kg reference somewhere in the comments)

Hughes playing good within the system (so perfectly showcasing himself to the wizards which is good) and also showing signs of his old sucky self (which reminds us why we hate him and need him gone)

Yep, matts gonna have a field day, this might be his favorite game of the season so far, i hope he recorded it so he can give himself a pat on the back for being so accurate…..

( please dont ban me for my comments matt :/ )

;-)

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, Bullshooter, and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light....

Holy freaking crap

I was at the game and I went totally apeshit when VDN substituted in Hughes and Noce for Gooden and Gray, thereby playing Noce at center. We were up 5 when the substitution was made, and after three possessions – easy Wiz bucket over Noce, awful miss on our end, easy Wiz bucket over Noce – we were up 1 and VDN called a timeout and fixed his lineup.

I went completely freaking nuts, and the poor 2-year old girl in front of me turned around and must have thought I was an alien. That had to be one of the worst substitutions an NBA coach has EVER made.

Player of the Game

Thank you,
these bumblefucks think the Sox are going to trade Dye. I said I would cancel my membership on here in martyrdom of Dye being traded.

Did anybody notice Rose's new hand tat?

He has a big ol tattoo covering his right hand. Don’t think he’s always had it….Don’t like it. Why would somebody want a tat on their hand?
