crazy trade idea...because it's been awhile since anyone has called me awful names. (Bulls/Clippers/Heat/TWolves)
this frees up some cap space and gets us some help down low. feel free to tear it apart.
the rotation would go as follows:
Rose/Novak/Hunter
Gordon/Hughes
Deng/McCants/whatever VDN's hair commands him
Haslem/Thomas/Collins
Kaman/Gray/Maggloire
Between Novak, McCants, Collins, and Maggloire that frees up almost if not 10 million dollars in cap space which can be used to resign Gordon at the end of the year, and if they were to hold on to Hughes, in 2010 his 12.8 million dollars plus Haslem's 6.75 million would come off which is enough to offer a max deal to one of the free agents in 2010.
It's more planning for the future than anything else because i would rather see them end up in the lottery this year than be an eight seed and get decimated by Boston for four games.
sorry the link is kind of large, I'm not too skilled with HTML.

Wow thats just crazy enough to work
I’m a little overwhelmed by it, but if all 4 teams agreed (very unlikely) I think its the kind of shake-up we need. This team would probably not gel soon enough to be better than a lottery team, but who knows if they click and get hot at the end they could be a weird/scary team to face. I really like how deep and upgraded this leave our front court. and in my opinion the best news is NOCIONI IS GONE

Pretty creative, but I don't see Miami doing this
They are already thin up front. This trade has them giving up their starting PF, starting Center and backup Center in exchange for a couple of 6’7" guys. I think after this trade, the only player they would have over 6’8" would be Mark Blount.

or just...
swap gooden for noch. that gives the clippers the lion and miami gets some help down low. the contracts are pretty much identical except in length. So the trade should still work.

Mystery solved..
the more i look at it i really like it….4 teams in need of a shakeup (maybe not miami?) thabo could be a great fit there off the bench can play with either chalmers or wade fairly well i feel. I would like to see some of the hesitations people have on here from any teams perspective. still fairly unrealistically big

I still don't see Miami signing off
Switching Nocioni for Gooden just means that Miami is trading the defense of Haslem and Anthony for the offense of Gooden. Pat Riley is all about the defense. I just don’t see him agreeing to this. Plus, the trade initially had the Clippers trading Chris Kaman for Joakim Noah and Gooden’s expiring contract. I could see them doing that. Now it has them trading Kaman for Joakim Noah and Nocioni’s long-term contract. I think that would also be a tougher sell for the Clips.

Has there ever been a 4 team trade in the history of the NBA?
And Novak is a 6-10 SF, not a PG.

And unfortunately
Novak’s not really any position in the pro level….. He can shoot though, but that’s 100% it…. I’d like him on the Bulls just because he’s like me from MU, but I wouldn’t necessarily want to see him play.

This is actually a 3-team trade,
with an additional trade between the Clippers/Bulls.
I don’t know if Miami trades Joel Anthony and Jamaal Maguire for no size, as somebody else said, and they probably wouldn’t take that trade unless we put in Aaron Gray [which means: throw him in! Get ‘er done! :P]. I could see the Clippers deal happening, but I don’t want us to trade Noah.
"You remember the first time you picked up a basketball video game and you had no idea how to run plays, so you just gave the ball to your shooter and you ran around the court aimlessly until a defender was far enough away and then you jacked up a shot? THAT IS LARRY HUGHES!"

Sorry
Novak ain’t a PG, not at all…..
I also don’t think Miami let’s go of Haslem….he’s a cheap, effective do everything player who doesn’t wow you but does a lot of the little things….

my bad about novak
i had no place for him and didn’t know much about him so threw him in wherever. i’ll just chalk it up as a knock to VDN’s rotation planning.
