Drew Gooden Update

The Bulls are estimating Gooden could miss seven to 10 days with the sprained right ankle he suffered Friday night in Boston. Given that it's the same ankle that cost Gooden two games earlier this season, expect a conservative approach.

I think KC should have put it this way

Given that the Bulls are actively trying to trade Gooden as soon as possible, expect a conservative approach

-or-

“Gooden, who will be shopped, is out with a sprained right ankle for the second time this year. The bulls have claimed to take a conservative approach with goodens injury, however according to sources close to the organization, gooden turned down the 7 day resting period and has demanded 10 days of rest.”

See, you gotta say who will be shopped, not traded….and you gotta give it this spin so it seems like theres something underlying the whole situation that somehow makes gooden to be a selfish player and possibly locker room cancer. To justify all of that you have to have mysterious sources that will never be named and validate something completely made up. That is how you write like kc johnson.

I kinda enjoy seeing this team with missing pieces...

so we get to see how people, like Thabo, actually play when they get off the bench. Of course I’d prefer if TT was the one benefiting from Gooden’s absence, but hopefully he will next game.

Indeed

Pretty sure we’d be a better team if we could just cut Noc, Gooden & Larry Hughes(and impose a 12 min cap on Gray)

Love to see a trade soon…or an indication that people were just waiting to expire arent getting loads of time.

I'm happy he is gone for a couple games..

he is so bad on defense I think he is a very big part of our problem with people driving on us constantly, offensive boards against us, and people just generally dominating us in the paint. I hope TT is good to go tonight but honestly Simmons looks like a better defensive player than Drew.

Noc as well as long as he doesn’t pick-up dumb fouls. Randolph completely abused Gooden in the post last week, but when we brought Noc in he held his own and got under Randolph’s skin which is a great thing because the Clippers would have taken that game if Zack continued to go off on us.

noc drew 2 questionable charges

but he was taken to the rack as easily as gooden. just cause the guy flops doesn’t make his defense good.

no, what made his defense better was the fact that Randolph wasn't scoring at will against him.

Also the fact that he WASN’T taken to the rack as easily as Gooden was. Gooden was getting backed down like he was on Shaq. Noc stood his ground. The only flop I remember from Noc that game was when he was elbowed in the face.
