Around SBN: Phil Mickelson Outshines Tiger Woods

Originally posted on Truehoop, this chart is arguably without any merit, relevance, or humor. Then, you read the archetype "megalomaniacal small guard" and it all starts to make sense...

Gray-Raw Project Center (tier 5)

Noah-Worst Case Raw Project Center (tier 5) Best case Hustle Player (tier 4)

Nocioni-Intangible Role Player/Hustle Player (tier 4) or at his best; Three Point bomber (tier 3), or at his worst Chucker (tier 5) which balances him as a tier 4 player i suppose

Tyrus Thomas-High Talent Low IQ Wing Player (Tier 5) or at least so far

Thabo-Wing Stopper (tier 4)

Larry Hughes-Chucker/Cancer/Do Nothing/Question Mark (tier 5)

Ben Gordon-Megalomaniac Guard (tier 4) or at best Three Point bomber (tier 3)

Kirk Hinrich-umm passing combo guard? (tier 3) intangible role player (tier 4)

Deng-Offensive Minded Pivot (tier 3)

D. Rose-Right now Rising star/scoring combo guard (tier 3). Future….On the opposite side of Lebron James

I still dont get some of the terminology though…

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, Bullshooter, and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light....

BG's tier 3,

‘pure shooter’.
Also, i’d say Gray’s a do-nothing, not a raw project center. He’s not raw, or really a project. he is what he is. :P

"You remember the first time you picked up a basketball video game and you had no idea how to run plays, so you just gave the ball to your shooter and you ran around the court aimlessly until a defender was far enough away and then you jacked up a shot? THAT IS LARRY HUGHES!"

Some interesting points

Deng deserves his own slot along side Diaw and Harrington

How would you match salaries with the different level? Or perhaps a better question-how many of the Bulls are overpaid, or want to be overpaid.

We want Pax to trade for a level 2 player or higher, but all he has are level 3 players or lower: ie, he has to find a GM that’s a complete idiot.
