Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Ted from Chi -town: Thorper, I've killed you in the past about how you ruined Tyrus and Deng. But they've been our best players in December, so, maybe you do know what you are doing. My apologies. But if they suck again, I'll be right back at ya.

David Thorpe: I'm not their coach. So get over it. But I did feel that they would figure things out. it seems they are on their way to do that.

Mike (Jersey): If you had to choose a tandem for the next 5-10 years, would you rather have Roy and Aldridge or Rose and Tyrus?

David Thorpe: Fantastic question. Lean to the Blazers, but ask me again in 2 months and I may answer differently. Thomas has been a monster is 3 of his last 4 games that he played more than a few minutes.

in 2 months if Tyrus stinks or not

I wouldn’t trade Rose for Roy and the ninny.

Yeah, Thorpe is crazy

When I watch NBA games I often call the fouls before the referees do. Sometimes it’s a gift. Most of the time it's troublesome. - NBA Observer

really?

i kind of think Rose has higher ceiling… im not sure about this… dont you think Roy can’t be an mvp caliber player? just an all-start. He HAS shown big-time scoring ability only recently.

I do know one thing… TT is still intriguing for ridiculous reasons. I like Thorp’s (he trained TT this past summer) comments about TT’s play the last few games. :)

I'd take Rose

and not worry about the rest. I think Rose has the best potential and Roy is a solid all-star. I predict in 3 years, Portland fans will be complaining about how soft Aldridge is.

LMA rebounds like Eddy Curry.

As Dennis might say, “if I was that tall, I could get 12 rebounds just by breathing”.

Dammit!!! I keep forgetting the chats.

I keep wanting to ask him who he’d rather have: Aldridge and Hawes, Thomas and Noah, Aldridge and Noah or Thomas and Hawes.

As much as I like Noah as a player, right now, I’d go with the last. If Thomas got his shit together, Rose, Deng, Thomas and Hawes is a well-balanced, young and potentially devastating foursome.

Viva la nuance! Reading comprehension rules!!!

Roy is a darn good player

But I wouldn’t trade Rose for anyone right now except for the obvious choices.

I wonder if Blazers fans are content with this roster, or if they wished they actually drafted Chris Paul when they had the chance.

Vinny Del Negro interviewed for the job today. I mean come on! Nobody else thinks this is nuts?
