Two trade Scenario (Kirilenko&Kaman to CHI)
First Trade:
Marion to the Jazz
Kirilenko to Chicago
Hinrich and Noc to Miami
----------------------------------------------------
Second Trade:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=356~1982~3018&teams=12~4~4&te=&cash=
Steve Novak and Kaman to Chicago
Larry Hughes to The Clippers
------------------------------------------
Bulls line up:
Kaman
Kirilenko
Deng
Gordon
Rose
-------------------------------------------------
Okay this is what I am thinking Utah wants to keep Millsap and Boozer but it will cost them tens of millions to do so as written here. The obvious player to move is Kirilenko. The way Kirilenko plays would be perfect in VDN system and with a player like Rose. By gaining Marion's expiring contract Utah would be able to make a great run this year and also be able to resign Millsap and Boozer at the end of the season.
Why would Miami do this trade? The trade would kill their chances of signing Boozer. But if Utah is going to move Kirilenko for any expiring contract(s) to resign Boozer then they might as well get something rather than lose out. I'm sure Miami can send out feelers before making this trade to see if Boozer is really going to test the market.
Chicago and Utah make out the best in this trade so if both teams would throw in a draft pick to Miami I can see it going through.
As for the second trade the Clippers get the wing player they are looking for and we get a center. This scenario is something I'm just throwing out there and I would assume that the Clippers might want more but we have seen stranger scenarios happen just this year. With Hughes contract they could also target a player in 2010 if that's what they wanted.
Final Thought - we won't be players in 2010 as far as having cap room but there is always the possibility of sign and trades. To me waiting for 2010 is a gamble and making these trades makes us a competitive team for years to come. If you look at the numbers we actually save money this year and also at the end of the year opening up the resigning of Gordon. We keep Goodens expiring contract and our young players TT and Noah.

Of the Jazz big men,
I would rather have Milsap.

I would to
but that’s not the point. Utah wants to keep Millsap even if they have to let go of Boozer. But they would rather keep both. Moving Kirilenko allows this.

I like Kirilenko
He could provide us that low post scoring that we need. But I’m not sure if I want to give up of the 2010 plan. One thing is certain: Wade would never leave Miami if they got Hinrich

He won't need to be
if we get Kaman as well. He can score out in the field or by fast breaks with Rose.

No, but he can score inside, at least, better than TT, Noah and Gooden together...

No
But he’s a top tier defender, and frankly that’s been as big a problem this year for us as low post scoring. Hopefully with his quickness and Thomas’s quickness the low post would be covered.
It definitely would be covered if both trades were made. that would be awesome….

I think the Jazz would rather keep Kirilenko than Boozer.
Well, they should anyway. And all the get for this trade is a downgrade this year and a chance to re-sign Boozer. If he leaves, which he know he’s notorious for doing, they’re screwed.
If I were them, I’d rather keep the slightly overpaid Kirilenko and then overpay a couple of million to keep Milsap THAN probably overpay a couple of million for Milsap AND max out Boozer… and still have a chance of not retaining him. I’m not sure what makes them the better team, but I think it’s close, and the security of it happening is a lot greater.

The Kaman
Trade ain’t happening this year at least for what you proposed….maybe next year, but I don’t think the Clipps would want a year + of Larry just for the expiring contract in a year +…who knows though.
The AK47 trade looks fair and viable for all clubs and might happen.
We might be able to do the 2nd Kaman trade, but would need another sweetener in the deal (Noah perhaps)?
I like em both, but obviously greatly prefer trade #1 of one, but could live with both, definately could live with both. AK47 would definately fill a need, and us keeping Drew would allow us to let him expire and hopefully have enough to resign BG).
A Rose-BG-Deng-AK47-Kaman-Thomas (wildcard) lineup would put us as definite contenders.

I just don't think that the Jazz will be able to keep both Boozer and Milsap.
This year Milsap is proving to be a full time player. I doubt he’s going to willingly go back to riding the pine behind Boozer long term. Also, Boozer and Milsap are too similiar to play together for any long stretch of time. More than likely, Boozer leaves (unrestricted free agent) and Milsap takes over full time. Boozer has had injury problems almost his whole time in Utah, so they probably let him leave or facilitate a sign and trade.

NOVAK
Can also shoot 3’s in real life…but can’t do anything else. A shame as a 6 10 guy with that kind of range is ridiculous. He’s a better pure shooter (judging from Marquette days) than Dirk…but is only in the league because of his shooting—and can’t get any time.

No way ...
There is no way that the Heat are going to take on Hinrich and Nocioni’s bad contracts. They’d be better off letting Marion’s deal expire and getting a free agent, or just keeping the cap space for 2010.
