The only people I want to die are VDN, Pax, and Noc.

Everybody else, even Deng from time to time, can contribute in some way, and really, right now, when we suck so much, that’s all I care about.

Things could be worse. We could have kept (name redacted).

by stupidgenius on Dec 12, 2008 9:48 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

If Nociono was benched for sucking

he would likely not complain and still practice hard.

The blame starts with the coaching staff and goes up to JR.

this week’s missing was the Bulls Defense.

According to the Mayan calendar,

December 12, 2012 is supposed to be Doomsday, or the end of the world as we know it. Or, that’s just where the calendar ends, and it isn’t really Doomsday.

Things could be worse. We could have kept (name redacted).

The Cows, er Bulls

have pity on Rose that day, and trade him to a contending team?

Vinnie is starting to remind me of the zombie who will remain nameless, you know the one who roamed our sidelines during last years death march..

I keep having this recurring nightmare that he has somehow infested VDN’s brain. Please tell me it’s only a dream.

Thank God our current MENSA candidate didn’t play Tyrus after his brief walk-on at the end of the first quarter. Otherwise our interior defense might have collapsed because of his non-professionalism.

Great job again by our dynamic defenders (Gooden, Deng, Noce, Gray). I didn’t look at the box scores but based on Vinnie’s rotations, can I assume that none of the Memphis forwards scored in double figures or got any rebounds?

I hope the Celtics don’t get a copy of this game tape. They would be shaking in their boots, knowing our front line tigers will likely chew them into little pieces under the direction of Vinnie Sigfried and his assistant Del Roy.

I haaaaaaaaaatttte Vinny Del Negro!!!!

Shit, when i think we could have had Mike D’Antoni instead… Fuck JR, Fuck Pax…. It’s too easy to blame it on players….

I wish a new coach that focuses on defense comes up quick…

Do you think we could coax Bill Laimbeer out of the NBA?

May be he could teach our ladies how to play a little physical defense.

.....

This is the one game where VDN lost it for us…..

I gave him leeway and blame the players a lot more for our other losses but this one did it.

By NOW, 22 games into the season. SHouldn’t he be getting into player’s faces and DEMAND them to give the ball to the rookie Rose during crunch time?? Rose is the only guy with balls to score it seems

Why is everyone freezing him out? WHY??

And why has Deng and Nocioni regressed?? They’re even WORSE than last year!!! That’s unbelievble, it’s unthinkable

Last year was no fluke guys…..this is how bad we are

We can thank god we have Rose but we still have to put up with lots of crap for a looong time

I’ve never blamed Paxon either but if Pax saw tonight’s game…he should be on the phones ASAP.

Hell, I wonder if Paxon watch any of the games….

by Half-Life on Dec 12, 2008 10:09 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Who is Paxon?

If the Paxson brothers were watching tonight, one can only hope they are planning to clean the team of some dead wood.

by Granny Waiters on Dec 12, 2008 10:14 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I heard a rumor that Pax has a painful ulcer and has been under Doctor's orders

not to watch any games as long as VDN is calling the shots. Otherwise, he may have to suffer as much as any loyal Bulls fan who has had to endure his recent strategic meltdowns.

Paxson's ability to make trades

is going to be severely hampered by how poorly they’re playing. Nocioni may, at present, have the NBA’s worst contract; Tyrus and Noah have little to no value because they get no burn on a team with a poor interior. He can have his bluetooth surgical implanted in his ear, and it won’t matter. We’re stuck.

That doesn’t have to be permanent, of course. With time, Tyrus and Noah may produce, and it’s totally possible that Kirk will end up with a higher trade value after he comes back. But for now…honestly…we’re going to have to get used to the fact that this team is the team.

I hope I’m totally wrong.

The way Larry is playing

He might have value. Trade him to the first team and package one of the young bigs. It’s time to move on, I want to root for a team with a plan, not strolling along happily because Derrick Rose is making them look semi-decent.

What do you see in a 14 ppg with no jumper that makes one think he will be better than a 26ppg\ 12rpg guy? Is there some kind of magic formula that tells you 14 > 26??

The apparent lack of a coherent long-term plan is killing me

I could bear with some of the ugliness if there was some method to all this madness. This season is starting to make me feel like the last one did, even with Rose.

Eh, I'm resigned to the fact that the Bulls will look like this for most of the season

Good, sometimes really good, then back to earth with some mind-numbing losses. I take benefit in watching Rose and Gordon play, other than that the team is just a big steaming mess.

After relaxing for a bit, i'm not nearly as upset about this game as I was 20 minutes ago.

As Bulls fans the only thing to be concerned with is Derrick Rose. And, minus the fact that he is slashing less and less and has played zero defense, i’d say it’s going pretty well. This team, as currently constructed isn’t gonna win anything. Maybe a 7th or 8th seed, but really does that matter? You COULD say playoff experience is a good thing, but it’s not like it did a damn thing for that Bulls team that swept the heat a couple years ago.

Developing any other players, besides Rose doesn’t matter either because I think it has become obvious that Vinny and Pax do not think Tyrus will be a part of this team’s future. So at this point all we can do as fans is cheer for ‘em and wait til Pax makes his next move and judge the team at that point. Until then it’s gonna be a whole lot of inconsistency.

by Juiceboxjerry on Dec 12, 2008 10:17 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

For the sake of my sanity, I've also limited my focus to Rose

But it seems like the team’s overall suckage is starting to affect Rose too.

by drew gooden's facial growth on Dec 12, 2008 10:33 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Can we put Ruffin and Simmons in the game

on the condition that they foul anyone who drive the lane hard enough to make them earn the points at the line? Maybe a bonus if both foul out in 10 minutes or less?

Seeing Gray use his 270 pounds to flatten some people would also be a welcome change.

by Granny Waiters on Dec 12, 2008 10:22 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That was just patheticcccccccc

Bulls were up because Gordon was on fire and Memphis caught a case of the Bulls frontcourt-itis and missed approximately 100 layups in the 1st quarter. Once BG got that 3rd foul it was over. Who the hell can Rose trust in the half-court game? Deng got most of his buckets as the trailer in transition, in half-court he looks useless. Noah did nothing with his time, Noce was a dumbass as usual, and Gray…..well given his talents he did as best as he could I guess.

I cannot stand how pathetic our big men look. Hakim Warrick looked like fucking Amare Stoudemire. Since when does he have post moves? I’m convinced he plays like this only against the Bulls, I haven’t heard a peep about him in between our games against the Grizz. Rose is already being taken out of games because if he can’t pass the ball with a legit shot of making it, the Bulls do most of the defense’s work. His defense is not good at all, and I’m wondering if he’s just getting frustrated with the lack of progress from most of his teammates. There really is no one on that team he can trust to make a shot aside from BG, and I feel bad for him.

God, I still can’t get over the fact we got soundly outplayed and outhustled for 3 quarters by a team that lives on the chucking of 2 perimeter players. Rudy Gay will shoot 3 for 20 in exchange for all the lucky shit he was jacking up tonight.

Opposing teams' frontcourts regularly put up huge numbers against us

I think big men across the league have Bulls games circled on their calendars.

by drew gooden's facial growth on Dec 12, 2008 10:39 PM CST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Sadly this team is similar to the brand year teams.

I OFFICIALLY GIVE UP ON DEL NEGRO. Paxson is a joke, Eddy Curry even would make this team 5 wins better, because he’s actually a post presence. I don’t know what you guys think but this reminds me of the bagaric, cornel david, rusty larue, bryce drew, matt maloney, chriss carr, and second time around will purdue days. what a disgrace

by armstrong2389 on Dec 12, 2008 10:23 PM CST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Getting Eddy Curry back would be a disaster.

If that happened than how could Vinny justify playing Noce at center when he goes to his 4 guard offense?

If so, than I totally agree.

The Chicago Bulls ….where all incompetent, clueless coaches find a chance to be comfortably mediocre, and management doesn"t give a shit because then they can relate.

So what

let the kid enjoy himself at least for a little bit…before he has to go out there and play with the rest of the schmucks the Bulls trot out there every night.

This team is worthless in my mind. I watch Rose and only Rose during the games, the rest of them are all just human cones with numbers and corresponding salaries as far as I’m concerned.

someone like tyrus thomas! but nah, fuck it, i mean why use someone with height, length, and athleticism to combat an opposing player of the exact same skillset?

when Hakim Warrick dominates our lottery pick in TT? That would just make our organization look like failures because we couldn’t develope him.

Probably the same message that he sent dominating all our other bigs who couldn’t stop any of theirs.

I would say the message is Vinnie sucks.

What does Vinnie have to do with our big men sucking?

Last I checked he wasn’t around for the TT and Noah drafting. Grey should be a backup for the rest of his life. You are blaming everything on Vinnie when he really doesn’t have much to work with. I really can’t use the term “big men” for anyone on our team. Gray is a big man, but that is about as far as that goes. TT and Noah haven’t developed at all over the last few years. I will blame that on both the organization and the inner drive of these two.

Is Luol Deng the Worst Defender in the NBA?

Eight ball says, “Ask again later.”

Sure I’m dissapointed in Deng’s apparent lack of athleticism and strength, but he got bullied last night by both Gay and Warrick. In fact, I’m searching for people he can defend at the 3 position and the list is really thin.
