Is there anyone out there who can honestly say they expected Hughes to play this well? In the last five games, he's averaged 15.6 points while shooting 52 percent overall and 64 percent from 3-point range.
Hughes has been more reliable lately than Nocioni, who has run more cold than hot. Chapu had an important 3-pointer in the fourth quarter, but went 3 for 9 from the field for 10 points against the Knicks. At one point, Luol Deng seemed to get on Nocioni's case for taking a hard foul under the basket when Deng felt he had the defense covered.
