Gray is starting???????
What’s this?
Please Pax, don't trade Hughes! Just make sure that he stays injured until... 2010!!!
I guess Shaq isn't playing

I wonder if VDN has a doghouse
because Gordon could very well be in it right now
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
If he lost yet another 20-30lbs, I actually think he could do that
He’s supposedly got down to what, 275? If really worked on his weight and worked on the right workout routine he could get down to 250, be quicker (quick enough), and be stronger than 98% of the players in the league.
De gustibus non est disputandum
Gooden.
Give up the stupid ball!
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
See, this is NBA Observer's strategy put to use.
Put in your worst player for that position so that he can foul the opposition twice right off the bat.
Somehow, this is a good strategy.
refs figure they havent called a foul on kirk yet and gives that cheap call
It aint easy bein' Piatkowski
but honestly who calls those? if that was like kobe or almost any1 else, its a no call
and no im not comparin him to kobe
It aint easy bein' Piatkowski
all we need
is a shot of the bench and the Tyrus Thomas “Why Do I Even Bother” face
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
hey...if can get it into his head that he cant shoot and decides to attack the rim..
It aint easy bein' Piatkowski
bulls aren't looking too bad
rose needs to start calling for the ball though

I've just figured out Del Negro's strategy.
He’s trying to show that Sefolosha and Gray are not rotational players at this point in their careers. Maybe he’s proving a point to the fans who irrationally love these guys. Maybe it’s to Paxson.
And, realizing this, I think sue369 is right: Hughes will start when he comes back so that he, and everyone else, can see just how shitty he is. By the time mid-December rolls around, we’ll be down to a solid 8-man rotation.
Of course, Del Negro’s plan blew up when Deng and Thomas didn’t play so hot and got the most heat from the fans.

Well, that one's more for the player-commentators.
who remember him playing when they did adn therefore assume he’s good.
Awesome post.

can gordon just shoot and not dribble ever?

Ben Gordon is the worse ballhandler EVER

yea horace grant came in skinny but left much bigger. lets hope for that out of him
It aint easy bein' Piatkowski
every Rose/Gooden pick and roll
should not result in Gooden getting the ball back
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
you can roll
but that doesn’t mean the PG has to give up the ball, especially if it results in a mismatch that works in the PG’s favor. In Rose’s case, he can get by most players
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
Nice rebound from Gooden
Please Pax, don't trade Hughes! Just make sure that he stays injured until... 2010!!!
I was hoping Ben would pass to Rose on that break
but that I’ll watch Amare smash Goodens face instead
deng needs to finish that play
Please Pax, don't trade Hughes! Just make sure that he stays injured until... 2010!!!
Deng, somehow
has less athleticism than Grant Hill
Nice fast break, Deng
Every fast break should end with a 4 foot jumpshot while moving in the air
last minutes, i guess
Please Pax, don't trade Hughes! Just make sure that he stays injured until... 2010!!!
It now has just under 3 minutes total for the entire season.
While Del Negro has had a tendency to start 2nd adn 4th quarters w/ the lineup the ended the 1st & 3rd quarters, I’ll bet a dollar this one doesn’t come back out. Despite the 3 pt lead.
Well after one quarter
at least the Bulls seem to be playing with some purpose tonight
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
just wondering....
has neil funk used his signature “kaboom!”s? or have the bulls just not given him a reason to waste his breath?
Seriously
When he turns it over, yes.

and screwing Rose out of another assist

Still, you'd want him attacking the basket
Any player for that matter
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 7, 2008 8:15 PM CST up reply actions
No, what Gordon is doing is
forcing shots when he tries dribble penetrating from that far away from the paint. Especially when he should know the help defender will try to poke it away.
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 7, 2008 8:18 PM CST up reply actions
That was a good drive.
He was able to get Barbosa looking for his jumper which gave him room. It’s when Ben thinks he’s Allen Iverson and just drives no matter what is the problem.
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 7, 2008 8:22 PM CST up reply actions
thank you tyrus
you should do that more often

This only shows how much the Bulls rely on the midrange J
Look how different this team looks when they start hitting their open shots. It’s been said ad nauseum, but the Bulls, or keep Noah and Tyrus out there as much as possible.
Tyrus saying "Fuck the haters" tonight and going hard out there

Active hands in the lane tonight. Great to see.

Maybe VDN will accidentally see
that this lineup works.
remind me:
what does deng bring to the team again?
Derrick Rose is going to be a star. He can really handle his balls.
Ahhhhhhhh
One of these games, Tyrus is gonna literally Sh*t on someone. Old barkley style
"You’re caught up in basketball. Get caught up in life" - Starbury's Head Tattoo
deng is coming
he just needs to find himself. go on a vision quest or something.
Tyrus Vs Stat
is making my week

dunno why, but his name is amusing today

dialogue between Rose and Del Harris
Del Harris: “Can you keep shooting like that?”
Rose: “Yes.”
Del Harris: “Ok.”

Gordon!
Lay off Bart’s butterfingers man

rather have that
than rely on his ft’s
Derrick Rose is going to be a star. He can really handle his balls.
I like how Rose is talking to the other guys...
he told Noah good job.
Vinny is definately saving his job today
Go Hair Go!
"You’re caught up in basketball. Get caught up in life" - Starbury's Head Tattoo
Now I know why Deng's called deng
when his shot hits the rim..all u hear is “deng”
"You’re caught up in basketball. Get caught up in life" - Starbury's Head Tattoo
it hurts me to realize that
and i was hoping on him alot. especially with all the talk of his success with GB in the summer
It aint easy bein' Piatkowski
I do realize that
but he’s guarding Grant hill, who is way past his prime
its time for him to start getting to the basket, and stop settling for jumpshots
by darksmokepuncher on Nov 7, 2008 8:48 PM CST up reply actions
That's true, but Hill's still doing well. Deng's offense is horrible.
But all the other guys are clicking on O. And his defense is more than just D-ing his man. he’s jumping ni passing lanes, rebounding, etc. yes, he needs to play better. I just don’t think he’s doing poor enough all-around, especially considering how the team is doing, that he has to “take a seat”.
I think they get worse as a team if Nocioni comes in gunning and flopping right now.
Deng is having a terrible beginning of the season
like, dreadfully awful. Larry Hughes bad.
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
He's doing a lot of small things.
He’s playing incredible D. But I guess people don’t notice that unless you’re sweating ball and yelling and flopping like Nocioni.
No tyger, you're wrong
If you’re not sweating perfusely all over people, causing bullshit hacking fouls on D, and making the occasional 3, you’re not doing jack shit.
In other news, Heart, Determination, and Charisma were just added as statistics at basketball-reference.com. Nocioni is #2 right behind Mark Madsen

"PTI Tossup" style
Deng bricks or Highes Bricks?
:::sets timer:::
"You’re caught up in basketball. Get caught up in life" - Starbury's Head Tattoo
bulls are playing great D
the front line of Noah, Thomas and Deng is long and intimidating. They are challenging shooters.
LOL,
You must have read Vinny’s first half analysis
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 7, 2008 8:48 PM CST up reply actions
Your first half grade?
+ Rose pushing the ball hard
+ Noah ballin’ on those boards
+ TT shot is goin’ down
+ Ball movement
- Those absolutely ugly sneaks Lopez has on
- Terribad Circuit Shitty commercials
- Noc switching roles with zombie Deng
- Aaron Gray
Overall: B-
Rose looks afraid to drive into the zone
You’d think with Amare and Amundson guarding the lane, Rose would have 20 points by now. Not sure what’s going on.
He's looking for his jumpshot
Which he should be doing more
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 7, 2008 8:47 PM CST up reply actions
looks like
there rotating the ball more too
"You’re caught up in basketball. Get caught up in life" - Starbury's Head Tattoo
yep
awesome at both, which is why the Bulls should start building around him immediately.
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
Don't we have
enough people looking for their jumpshot?
If Rose get's his jumper working consistently
He’d be unstoppable.
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 7, 2008 8:50 PM CST up reply actions
looks like your finger slipped when putting the Aaron Gray bullet point
The plus key is one to the right
they have a 14 pt lead over the Suns
but that only qualifies as a B-. No wonder this place is so negative
by DangerMouse on Nov 7, 2008 8:51 PM CST up reply actions 1 recs
It's good to see the Bulls performing well
But looking at the players the bad players they’re up against (save for STAT and The Spokesman) tonight, they’ve got more convincing to do
"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax
So I wonder who will start the
third quarter. The guys who have us in this game or the starters on the bench.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
Benny should replace Deng

So they seriously have to put
Gooden back in there even if he is hobbled?

How come Nash and Amare can make the pick and roll work every play ...
… yet we haven’t gotten one pick and roll for Deng to work, ever?
You need to be great to execute the pick and roll?
I remember teams abusing me with it in Y ball.
Right. Obviously.
But also obviously, why aren’t we? He’s the perfect player to run a pick and roll for.
