Please Pax, don't trade Hughes! Just make sure that he stays injured until... 2010!!!

by bull83 on Nov 7, 2008 7:39 PM CST   0 recs

Yeah, because of Shaq.

Even though we know he’s not starting. Del Negro is a genius!!!!!!!!!!!

by Yibs on Nov 7, 2008 7:48 PM CST   0 recs

If he lost yet another 20-30lbs, I actually think he could do that

He’s supposedly got down to what, 275? If really worked on his weight and worked on the right workout routine he could get down to 250, be quicker (quick enough), and be stronger than 98% of the players in the league.

Gooden.

Give up the stupid ball!

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

by cranscape on Nov 7, 2008 7:48 PM CST   0 recs

it's all part of the plan

See, this is NBA Observer's strategy put to use.

Put in your worst player for that position so that he can foul the opposition twice right off the bat.

Somehow, this is a good strategy.

by tyger1147 on Nov 7, 2008 7:50 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

wat the hell was that gooden?

It aint easy bein' Piatkowski

by Yibs on Nov 7, 2008 7:49 PM CST   0 recs

bulls aren't looking too bad

rose needs to start calling for the ball though

by darksmokepuncher on Nov 7, 2008 7:52 PM CST   0 recs

he shouldn't have to

people like Gooden need to give up the damn ball without hesitation

by NormVanBeer on Nov 7, 2008 7:52 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

Noah seems to be

improved in his free throw shooting this season.

I've just figured out Del Negro's strategy.

He’s trying to show that Sefolosha and Gray are not rotational players at this point in their careers. Maybe he’s proving a point to the fans who irrationally love these guys. Maybe it’s to Paxson.

And, realizing this, I think sue369 is right: Hughes will start when he comes back so that he, and everyone else, can see just how shitty he is. By the time mid-December rolls around, we’ll be down to a solid 8-man rotation.

Of course, Del Negro’s plan blew up when Deng and Thomas didn’t play so hot and got the most heat from the fans.

by tyger1147 on Nov 7, 2008 7:55 PM CST   1 recs

I thought Hughes'

ten years in the league spoke loud enough

Well, that one's more for the player-commentators.

who remember him playing when they did adn therefore assume he’s good.

Awesome post.

When I watch NBA games I often call the fouls before the referees do. Sometimes it’s a gift. Most of the time it's troublesome. - NBA Observer

by Illini15 on Nov 7, 2008 8:03 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

can gordon just shoot and not dribble ever?

It aint easy bein' Piatkowski

by Yibs on Nov 7, 2008 7:57 PM CST   1 recs

and BG dribbles

the ball off his leg

by sue369 on Nov 7, 2008 7:58 PM CST   0 recs

every Rose/Gooden pick and roll

should not result in Gooden getting the ball back

"MUAHAHAHA." - Evil Pax

by Evil Pax on Nov 7, 2008 8:00 PM CST   0 recs

isnt that the point of a pick and ROLL?

It aint easy bein' Piatkowski

by Yibs on Nov 7, 2008 8:00 PM CST to parent up   0 recs

you can roll

but that doesn’t mean the PG has to give up the ball, especially if it results in a mismatch that works in the PG’s favor. In Rose’s case, he can get by most players
