If he lost yet another 20-30lbs, I actually think he could do that

He’s supposedly got down to what, 275? If really worked on his weight and worked on the right workout routine he could get down to 250, be quicker (quick enough), and be stronger than 98% of the players in the league.

See, this is NBA Observer's strategy put to use.

Put in your worst player for that position so that he can foul the opposition twice right off the bat.

Somehow, this is a good strategy.

I've just figured out Del Negro's strategy.

He’s trying to show that Sefolosha and Gray are not rotational players at this point in their careers. Maybe he’s proving a point to the fans who irrationally love these guys. Maybe it’s to Paxson.

And, realizing this, I think sue369 is right: Hughes will start when he comes back so that he, and everyone else, can see just how shitty he is. By the time mid-December rolls around, we’ll be down to a solid 8-man rotation.

Of course, Del Negro’s plan blew up when Deng and Thomas didn’t play so hot and got the most heat from the fans.

While Del Negro has had a tendency to start 2nd adn 4th quarters w/ the lineup the ended the 1st & 3rd quarters, I’ll bet a dollar this one doesn’t come back out. Despite the 3 pt lead.

forcing shots when he tries dribble penetrating from that far away from the paint. Especially when he should know the help defender will try to poke it away.

and i was hoping on him alot. especially with all the talk of his success with GB in the summer

It aint easy bein' Piatkowski

I do realize that

but he’s guarding Grant hill, who is way past his prime
its time for him to start getting to the basket, and stop settling for jumpshots

by darksmokepuncher on Nov 7, 2008 8:48 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

That's true, but Hill's still doing well. Deng's offense is horrible.

But all the other guys are clicking on O. And his defense is more than just D-ing his man. he’s jumping ni passing lanes, rebounding, etc. yes, he needs to play better. I just don’t think he’s doing poor enough all-around, especially considering how the team is doing, that he has to “take a seat”.

I think they get worse as a team if Nocioni comes in gunning and flopping right now.

Deng is having a terrible beginning of the season

like, dreadfully awful. Larry Hughes bad.

He's doing a lot of small things.

He’s playing incredible D. But I guess people don’t notice that unless you’re sweating ball and yelling and flopping like Nocioni.

by tyger1147 on Nov 7, 2008 8:45 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

No tyger, you're wrong

If you’re not sweating perfusely all over people, causing bullshit hacking fouls on D, and making the occasional 3, you’re not doing jack shit.

In other news, Heart, Determination, and Charisma were just added as statistics at basketball-reference.com. Nocioni is #2 right behind Mark Madsen

bulls are playing great D

the front line of Noah, Thomas and Deng is long and intimidating. They are challenging shooters.

by DangerMouse on Nov 7, 2008 8:44 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Your first half grade?

+ Rose pushing the ball hard
+ Noah ballin’ on those boards
+ TT shot is goin’ down
+ Ball movement

- Those absolutely ugly sneaks Lopez has on
- Terribad Circuit Shitty commercials
- Noc switching roles with zombie Deng
- Aaron Gray

Overall: B-

by Protocol on Nov 7, 2008 8:45 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Rose looks afraid to drive into the zone

You’d think with Amare and Amundson guarding the lane, Rose would have 20 points by now. Not sure what’s going on.

looks like

there rotating the ball more too

He’s awesome driving into the lane.

by YaoPau on Nov 7, 2008 8:48 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

yep

awesome at both, which is why the Bulls should start building around him immediately.

enough people looking for their jumpshot?

they have a 14 pt lead over the Suns

but that only qualifies as a B-. No wonder this place is so negative

It's good to see the Bulls performing well

But looking at the players the bad players they’re up against (save for STAT and The Spokesman) tonight, they’ve got more convincing to do

So I wonder who will start the

third quarter. The guys who have us in this game or the starters on the bench.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

Benny should replace Deng

by Belize on Nov 7, 2008 8:54 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

No he shouldn't

The defense is fueling the offense. And Rose & Hinrich w/ Gordon guarding Hill would be the dumbest thing I may have ever read on this site.

by tyger1147 on Nov 7, 2008 8:54 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

I meant

benny the bull buddy

So they seriously have to put

Gooden back in there even if he is hobbled?

How come Nash and Amare can make the pick and roll work every play ...

… yet we haven’t gotten one pick and roll for Deng to work, ever?

by YaoPau on Nov 7, 2008 8:54 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

You need to be great to execute the pick and roll?

I remember teams abusing me with it in Y ball.

by YaoPau on Nov 7, 2008 8:57 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Right. Obviously.

But also obviously, why aren’t we? He’s the perfect player to run a pick and roll for.
