Open Game Thread #11 OVERFLOW: Bulls at Los Angeles Lakers
Decent first half, considering how out-gunned the Bulls are in terms of talent. Propers to Stacy King for pointing out how bad Noc was defending Lamar Odom.

This is really getting ridiculous
The Bulls are 5-5 coming into today, against the 4th toughest schedule in the league (according to Sagarin). We’re 21st in the league in offensive efficiency and 8th in defensive efficiency, again despite a tough schedule.
I get frustrated too, but this is getting ridiculous.

by NormVanBeer on Nov 18, 2008 11:45 PM CST up reply actions

i’m not a fan of any player on the entire roster other than Rose. During that 010 year we better surround him with one of the studs(Stoudamire, Wade, Bosh, etc. etc.) and make a couple of good draft picks. This team isn’t going to be relevant for quite a few years.

On Rose's three pointer, Gordon actually passed him the ball.

Everyone has off nights. If this is as low as BG will get, we should have him on that contract we said he couldn’t sign already.

Game is over now. They should sit Derrick.
I really do worry about his endurance and health.
He is absorbing too many minutes. He is going to be drained or injured come February..

Noah is a lazy piece of shit
What the hell did he do this summer? Well, never mind, I know what he did, and it didn’t involve basketball. I can forgive Tyrus’s occasional stupidity, but it’s a lot harder to forgive laziness.

Not really.
Gordon played better (despite the bad numbers)
Gray played marginally better.
I don't think anyone expected the Bulls to win this one. Woulda been nice but...
we need to do something about our front-court though. I mean the Lakers size is incredible and they exploited the smaller defenders. Small ball in the fc is dead.
Rose is averaging around 40 MPG
I swear to Christ, they better give him less playing time. The guy is gonna burn out at the 45th game.
Haha yes
The scrubs make it look like a decent score.
Bright side….Rose is still amazing in case you forgot.
Just to refute the idiotic Tyrus comment posted above.
He finished the night with 3 blocked shots, 3 assists, 2 steals, 5 rebounds, and 9 points on 3-6 shooting in about 19 minutes. He was +3 for the game.
LSU 38 OHIO STATE 24 - LSU IS THE NATIONAL CHAMPION AND I AM THE KING OF BOURBON STREET!!
He had 4 TOs though and that's the bigger problem. He's making too many TOs.
by Playboy_Bull on Nov 19, 2008 12:08 AM CST up reply actions
Deng, Gooden, and Gray all had 3.
With none of the positive contributions.
But yes, he still needs to cut down on TO’s.
However, to say he “sucks so bad” is simply not a true reflection of how he played.

Trade Deng for a big man
And do it soon, because he’s killing his trade value. He doesn’t seem to mesh well with Rose at all.
Yeah, because Deng has constantly been on the trading block thus far.
That’s why the Bulls gave him that bantam 71 mil contract
Rose had an awesome stat line.
25 pts, 9 assists, and 3 boards – only 2 TOs against the Lakers. Paxson needs to give this guy some help.
Anyone not named Ben. However, Rasheed Wallace would do wonders for this Bulls team.
