That’s a pet peeve of mine. I like to see a coach actually doing something after he calls a timeout. My experience watching coaches is the good ones are usually doing something.

Really fun game;
especially liking how Luol is rounding into shape. Two very solid, controlled 20/10 games in a row. It’s a product of playing within himself.
BG, of course, was brilliant. But it’s hard for me to get as excited about him when I feel resigned to losing him after this year.

Gordon should have at least the respect of the fans. Ignoring Rose tonight was a mortal sin, but he was in the zone and thought he could do anything. Frankly, against the Mavs it’s allowable. Against a better team, Derrick will have the ball, as he is slowly taking over the ballhandling duties at the end of quarters, which has been BG territory for some time now.

I just don’t have faith that it’s just a “in the zone” thing; all indications are Ben is going to act like the man whenever he can. He really looks like he’s positioning himself for the free agent market, the team be damned. It pisses me off. But I love his talent. I just wish he had a smaller head.

Truth is...HE IS THE MAN!!!
At least for the time being. Derrick Rose is not yet ready to carry this team every night. But until he is ready, Gordon is the guy we will lean on and he has shown us over the past 4 years or so that he is the only guy we can lean on in close games. Rose will assume that role soon enough. But any objective viewer can clearly see that Ben Gordon is our best closer on most nights.

Objectively,
I’d rather have Rose driving into a double (triple, quadruple) team than Ben, because (a) Rose is bigger and better at finishing in those situations than Ben, and (b) I have more faith that Rose will kick it out to an open shooter in those situations than force a bad shot. If Ben is driving in that situation, everyone on the floor knows he’s putting up the shot. That’s not a great tactic.

Again, the guy just comes to play. Quite honestly, he has a shot at having a brilliant season. I’m seeing more and more why he took the QO. I just hope that if he keeps playing anything like the way he’s been playing that he gives the Bulls a legit shot at signing him this offseason. But I still say we should have made him a better offer and maybe not offered Luol Deng as much as we did.

Somehow get rid of hughes
For an expiring contract, and give the rest of that money to gordon. Gordon Rose starting, Kirk 6th man, thabo just in case we need another guard for some reason
Package noah or tyrus or gooden or one of our bigs with hughes just so we can get rid of him, it could be the most suckiest overpayed player in the nba, so long as the contract expires by the end of this year it wont matter….
Rose gordon and hinrich supply the skill, thabo supplies the height (?) and i think that becomes one of the better guard rotations in the league. I want this done now
