there's 14 games on tonight
and none of them on national tv… 2 on nbatv. league pass only has 10 stations… and only 3 of the games start at 9 eastern or later… do the math one of my stations is picking up the game at 9:30 (eastern).
sucks…
is neil funk drunk?
He thought gooden got the block when it was obviouosly TT and he just claimed a basket when in when it as really just rolling around the rim…
arrrrgggggg
I bought league pass. and i’m missing it because there are so many other games.
sooooooo frustrating.
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
huh?
is that why they’re not carrying it? too many other games?
man that’s bullshit. i also can’t make out the reasoning behind which games are blacked out. definitely some games that aren’t on national tv and aren’t local for me are blacked out.
that worked!

Thomas is sooooo close to realizing all his potential.
Honestly, if Skiles were a better coach, he could have used the encouragement Thomas wants, but used the discipline he needs at times.
Gooden
He seems to have a little bit of tyrutis.. trying to do more than he is capable of doing.
man
VDN just will not play Rose and Gordon. He just won’t do it.
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
Definitely, definitely intentional. He's freaked out as all hell of "shortness".
At least can Hinrich overtake Thabo’s starting spot? Shit.
This is what I'm excited about
Last year’s B-team: Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Thomas, Gooden. I’m starting to hate this team.
Fight it, man, fight it.
I’m starting to feel the same thing. It’s like we’re watching…last year.

Thomas is starting to piss me off.
I guess he never will be a true “star” because he just doesn’t try that hard on the court. He did sprint once last night and…. got a steal from behind.
Holy shit, you changed your whole opinion on Thomas in 10 minutes flat.
Even after he gets an offensive rebound.
I can’t wait to see what happens at the 20 mark.
"Starting"
And as you might infer, it had to do w/ last night, too. I guess “reading comprehension” wasn’t your strong suit?
The word never at the beginning of this thead...
…was a poor choice. He could, theoretically, be sooooo close to realizing all his potential his entire career.
People say Rose doesn't have a good jumper yet.
But it has seemed pretty good to me all preseason/season. Am I just missing something?
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
Its really not that great
to have defenders to play right on top of him.
I think the lack of anyone else on the bulls being good at jump shots makes it hard to judge.
What to do, with Larry Hughe?
his jumper was basura

Gordon: Catch. Shoot. Please.

That should have been a high percentage shot considering the shooter,
but in a 5 on 3 situation traditionally they should have gone in attack mode and got to the basket for a higher percentage shot. It seems like a lot of our shots so far have not been the best shot possible.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
Seriously, what happened to that "automatic" little jumper of his?
Dude’s in some kind of a bad shooting slump lately, with the exception of that single game against the Bucks.
Man-slave, bring me my PB&J!
It's pretty dreadful
watching how badly Deng is outclassed by Gay. It’s not even close.
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
True.
But Gay’s their franchise. Deng is like the Bulls’ version of OJ Mayo or Mike Conley. It does suck, but Gay is showing that he might be a “superstar”. Deng will never be that.
He leaned to pull that charge off.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
even still
Lu didn’t have numbers, and has no athelticism to ever dribble AROUND someone…pull back and wait on the rest of the team
Deng did fall for the trap. He has always done that for some reason. He doesn't seem to see it coming.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
That's partially true.
He did enough to legally avoid the guy. When Mayo has to lean into him, I think that means Luol got around him. The guy called the charge from the side. Should have been a block.
*sighs*
i need 2 get league pass

We're getting outclassed by MEMPHIS at home.
If this team didn’t have Derrick Rose, i’m not so sure we’d win any games. Another question, WHY IN THE HELL ISN’T KIRK PLAYING? HE’S SMOKING HOT FROM THE FIELD!
So Deng can play the 2?
VDN must be daft. Either play Hinrich or Gordon at shooting guard. Period (well, throw in Thabo for 10 minutes a game)
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 1, 2008 8:29 PM CDT up reply actions
Thank God for Derrick Rose.
This team could suck for two years and get everyone traded and Del Negro could be the worst coach ever… and the Bulls would still have Derrick Rose.
My opinion
of Deng lessens and lessens by the game.
holy crap
Rose is the only guy out there fighting. It’s truly pathetic. The more I watch, the more I realize this team was Skiles. In its success and failures both.
What happened?
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
everyone is still doing the same thing
Tyrus still can’t finish, Noc still chucks, Gooden still spaces out, Noah or Thabo still can’t shoot, Lu still disappears, Kirk and Ben are still small…it’s just the same team running slightly different sets with an uber nice point guard
Unfortunately nothing looks different from last season…it’s pretty discouraging so far.
i forgot
the team defense still stinks, they still don’t talk on defense, they still get behind early and have to fight back, they still fall back into old bad habits…ugh
We gotta come out with more fire
start Noah and Hinrich. VDN has to do something. Not Mike Singletary something, but god…they’re soflat.
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
It's great for me,
but I’m in Pennsylvania. Not sure how the algorithm of the black-out rules for the NBA works in my area, but I can’t get LAL-DEN, DAL-MIN, CLE-NOH, WAS-DET, GSW-NJN, or BOS-IND.
I can only watch 3 other games besides this one.
all my other games are working
i figured it was black because the ind-bos game was on before it… but now it’s still not coming on. all the other games that were supposed to start at 9:30 are on. i’m pretty frustrated right now! guess i gotta try to get it on broadband.
but i do have to say
thank god lp broadband is mac compatible… so i don’t have to watch a shitty feed on stooge.

we’re only paying a 6’9 small foward 71 million to shoot J’s.
He used to cut,
rebound, and shoot. He also took it to the hoop more.

Rose is the man.
Not sure about the rest of this team right now.
I love how Deng constantly gets outclassed . . .
Whenever he goes up against an elite small forward. Too bad he gets paid like one himself.
This is just a bunch of ill-fitting parts, other than Rose. Other than maybe Thomas and Noah (and even those two are debatable), everyone else on this team is a spare part.
He doesn't get paid like an elite small forward.
LeBron james, Carmelo Anthony, Richard Jefferson, Peja, Paul Pierce, Andre Iguodola.Lamar Odom, Andrei Kirilenko, Rashard Lewis, Shawn Marion can be included. Soon, Rudy Gay will pass. Beasley eventually will. Marvin Williams might.
He gets paid the same as Tayshaun Prince, Josh Howard, Danny Granger, and that seems about right based on past performance and expected future returns.
I’m not seeing how that’s “elite” when at least a third of the league is making more.
if they can't beat Memphis..
We are a lottery team.. we’ll get another Noah for sure
Bulls need to do something to slow Gay.
Try Thabo again. Deng is getting eaten up.
by RogersPark Kris on Nov 1, 2008 8:37 PM CDT up reply actions
Oh hell
really? Foul now?
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
Yeah, since I can't watch the Bulls I watched them (I live in Indy)
And what really bothers me is that the Pacers have a lot of new players and still managed to come out and look coherent. I don’t even care too much that the Bulls lost last night, I expected a loss.
But man, they were completely out of it, and that’s a warning sign to me.
What is clear now.
Rose is great. The team is not so great. The year should be used for figuring out who is useful next to Rose. The rest can leave. They are poorly put together and can’t overcome that with the kind of chemistry and hard work that got them where they were two years ago despite the physical things they lacked. And even in that best situation they only one 49 games. Things have caught up with them.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
I gotta say it, too:
I’d be a lot more confident if we had Mike D’Antoni than this glorified announcer who seems – to the best of my knowledge – to stare stonily into the distance while Del Harris draws plays, talks to refs, and takes care of that “coaching” thing.
What a joke. No experience. Not as an assistant. Not in college. Not in high school. Not his daughter’s fifth grade team.
Want to know why they’re so disorganized? No mystery there.
The poster formerly known as Freethefro.
I wonder if Del Harris is really running things
He seems to be constantly standing up during the game. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen an assistant coach stand up as much as he does. It’s like what van Gundy said last night – why is Del Harris getting technical fouls? VDN is the head coach, he’s the one who should be dealing with the refs.
Tyrus if you keep shooting like this, I'm going to have to borrow your namesake's
sleeping pills. He seems to be totally psyched out, rushing his shots and even missing the rim on layups. Thank God Deng and Gordon have been on fire. That was really impressive when 2 Grizzlies crashed into each other and layed spraweled out at the opposing baseline, and Ben pulled up on a 5 on 3 to take some wild ass shot.
Someone tell me this nightmare will soon end. I’m watching the game feed on Dish Network free on one of the NBA channel 568. If TT was playing this craptastic with the previous coaches (unnamed), Larry Hughes would get playing time before he saw the hardcourt again.
If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

This shows what a good job Skiles did
At least up until last year. As much as I bitched about his crazy rotations, I don’t know how this team (minus Rose) ever won 49 games.
Ya know... Skiles sounded like he wanted to trade half the team going into the season
Perhaps he should have been promoted to GM.
(OK, that wasn’t serious)

Here comes the VDN half time adjustments!
Gonna try switching out Pantene for Head & Shoulders. Less frizz.
Did anybody notice the wacky lineups.
At one point, Hinrich, Gordon, Rose, Noc and Gooden.
Another…Rose, Deng, Noc, Thomas, Gooden.
WTF?
"The whole leverage thing, it's a difficult thing to gauge" -Paxson
It's ridiculous.
The most popular lineup is still the starting one at 20 minutes w/ the next one at 10 minutes. We’ll see how that plays out the rest of the way.
Thabo played less than 5 minutes
Is starting a ceremonial position, like being Queen of England? What’s the point of starting him if he barely plays?
he's been like J.Kidd at the olympics

by chibullsfan03 on Nov 1, 2008 8:55 PM CDT up reply actions
i'll assume you mean
consistent, as in, they’ve started 3 games in a row…because they haven’t been consistently good
yeah, not consistent good at all
20 minutes in the first two games for the starters… 10 minutes or less for any other lineup.
It’s not just about starting Gordon next to Rose. It’s about starting someone competent enough to play more than five minutes to start the game and the half.
i'm with you there
everyone thinks that we’re lobbying for Gordon to start, but that’s not it…it’s just about starting your BEST 5…which we have yet to do
Thabo's actually looking solid tonight, although I only starting watching at the beginning of the third
Sure he did.
And even if they weren’t going up against OJ Mayo and Quentin Ross, 1 out of 3 isn’t good enough.
we haven't scored 100 yet

Thomas can draw fouls at least. Don't look pretty though.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
He has no confidence in his ability to drive by someone.
Or his post game. If he could get confidence in one of those, it would be great.
He needs to get them scared of him with some monster slams.
Actually, I’d like to see some monster slams. Perhaps an unrelated request. :) He seemed to do a lot of that in his first year than now. Not sure why.

I liked it on that Thabo/Rose play
it is pretty weird tho…2Kish

Holy moly
this teams gonna give me split personalities.
The key was Rose being aggressive, however. He took control of this game, and the other guys played within themselves.
