Rose getting some love from writers at CNNSI in the ROY race. Burns and McCallum pick him to win the award. He is also listed as the break out star of the season by Thomsen.

I appreciate guys like Hollinger and Thorpe being a bit more conservative w/ their prognostications on Rose

But he did have a hell of a preseason

We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are no heroes, they just don't know where to look.

I think Rose should be a favorite

the kid is going to have the ball in his hands 90% of the time and he can get to the hoop at will. I think we may be underestimating the scoring numbers he can put up. He is the #1 option on a team that has Gordon and Deng. I think 17-18 PPG is possible, especially if the kid can hit his free throws.

i definately believe

that the ceiling for this team is pretty high with Rose as the leader. For 3 years we have been looking for a guy who can draw double teams and respond. We have been looking for a star and now we have one. I really think things will fall into place around him. Once the Bulls role players (Noce, Gordon, Deng, Thomas, etc.) figure out how to play with Rose, they really are going to take off. Noce has already figured it out and he looks a ton better. Rose will get credit for leading this team.

I think we are going to get off to a slow start. But by the end of the season, I wouldn’t be surprised if Rose isn’t playing at an all-star level
