The Lottery Team

9 players were drafted in the lottery.

BY DRAFT ORDER

Derrick Rose (#1), Ben Gordon #3, Tyrus Thomas (#4), Drew Gooden (#4), Luol Deng (#7), Kirk Hinrich (#7), Larry Hughes (#8), Joakim Noah (#9), Thabo Sefolosha (#13)

By Usefulness

Rose, Deng, Gordon, Thomas, Hinrich, Gooden, Noah, Sefolosha, Hughes

No question our team has talent.  Hopefully Rose can make this collection of Lottery talent into a playoff team.  I wouldn't mind picking 32nd in next year's draft, if you catch my drift.

Wasn't Thabo

Drafted like 16th and traded for Rodney Carney who we drafted higher???

Or did I get that mixed up?

No; it was the reverse

We traded up a few spots to get Thabo.

Sefolosha before Hughes? Ding ding ding

Man, Hughes sucks so much ass.

Majoyenrac isn’t right. Sefolosha was drafted by the ’6ers and then swapped. I guess you can make an argument that he was #16, but then you can also make an argument that Thomas was drafted #2.

You're right, Thabo was actually drafted 13th by 76ers, which is a lottery spot

Then traded for Rodney Carney whom the Bulls drafted at 16.

And to think..

the Bulls could have told the 76ers to draft Ronnie Brewer instead.

You forgot one.

Cedric Simmons was also a lottery pick in the 2006 NBA draft, #15 by the New Orleans Hornets.

Thabo was also a lottery pick at #13 in that same draft.
