that...happened??
Asked what kind of player he expects to be in the next five years, he said: "Not a star, but like, a superstar. Something around, like, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, something like that."

We need a time machine.
But then if we could do that we might as well abduct MJ for a year. Maybe we do in the future. Didn’t he retire to supposedly play baseball for a year? “Baseball”. Hm…
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
eh, not quite
since Kirk is dominating the ball in those highlights. We should send this clip around to other GMs though.

though who am I crappin'?
like Gordon doesn’t also dominate the ball….
I guess my point was that came when Hinrich was the point guard. ‘that guy’ would have to play differently with Rose. Though it was nice to see a reminder of when he actually was a plus defender.

Screw other gms
Send this to hinrich himself, “This kirk, this is called having swagger, this is what you once were, nay….are!! Now become this immediately!!”
I started watching the bulls again durring this playoff series, and this is the hinrich i witnessed. Note the lack of hesitation, the attack mentality….where did it go. Something boylan took away, something skiles took away, something his family take away.
Someone tell him to become this again…. :( ah memeories….

Or Emo Kirk
The lady Bulls fans still dig him. Mopey is half way to Emo.

I'd be happy with the Hinrich
that could still hit open jumpshots/3’s.

Trade Kirk and Ben for a real two who cuts/slashes/moves off the the ball...
Anyone know how to clone Ray Allen at age 25? Or Reggie Miller?
Kevin Martin
Come on Theus. Put him in the doghouse.

We have a clone of Ray Allen from that age.
His name is Ben Gordon and he’d love to be loved by you, Chicago fanbase. He’s just Ray Allen in miniature. Go look at their advanced stats from their careers at the same points. They are absurdly similar. It’s been mentioned here many many times, by Scotter and by me and others.

And as you know, offensively,
IT DOESN"T MATTER THAT HE’S SHORT. Why? Because he gets his shot off quick, has a ridiculous high release-point, and gets great elevation. Defensively, yes, it hurts once in awhile…but I’ve totally come around to this. Rose/Gordon! I’ll cold-call Bulls fans if need be. I’ll be like those annoying telefund people who keep calling me during dinner.
I already donated twice, yah greedy bastids….

well, they're less similar
after Gordon regressed last year.

getting jerked around for 3 years will do that to a guy.
I’m not bitter. Honest.

I like the post, Piccolo,
but I’m still in favor of Rose/Gordon with Kirk backing up both. 30 minutes of backing up…but still backing up.

I wouldnt mind
As a hinrich fan, i want my favorite player on my favorite team, and not as some butt of some joke (like duhon was) as a bulls fan i want the bulls to win consistently. So thus i want hinrich to be productive whether he is sg or pg, starting or bench, he could be a role player so long as he is valuable on the team. Thats what im constantly looking for. If coming off the bench (like he did in the bucks preseason game) makes him productive, then use him in that way. I wouldnt mind having him and gordon switch roles, as icould see the benefit. I just really want him to remain a bull, because this team is the only team ill ever be a fan of (not sure it works that way with me but im sort of stubborn in what i like, hinrich and the bulls…thats what i like)

he shouldn't get more than 24 minutes a game
Rose should be playing 36 mins a night, Gordon 36 mins a night and Hinrich 24 mins a night for the 96 minutes at the 1 and 2 positions per game.

Thabo and LH shouldn't get any minutes in that guard rotation, save for injuries to the 3 guards in the
rotation. LH shouldn’t get off the bench at all. I’d prefer he was just Tim Thomas-ed since the organization seems to be worried about his professionalism with regard to the amount of minutes he plays.

i loved these days
the first playoff apperance since the jordan years. i went to all the home games for this series and kirk was amazing. the first game i think was at the UC and noch had a 20 point 20 rebound game. good times.

LUCKY!!!
I remember watching kirk go insane from the outside in game 2 i believe……..thats when i was hooked as him being my favorite player. He wasnt flashy, or uber athletic, he didnt do anything that i couldnt do in a game (against my level opponents) but he still got the job done. Fundamentally sound basketball, i didnt know players could succeed doing things that way (i was spoiled by the jordans and pippens of old, who i could in no right ever be). Man to be in the uc during that time, it must have been electric…those fans…they were the ones who had stuck by….if only we had won, the bulls could have won that series…just mental mistakes at the end of games (wasnt there a play when the bulls were down 2 late in the 4th and the ball was inbounded, and duhon turned his back to the passer and it hit his back and rolled out of bounds? )

I remember and most Marquette fans'll always remember
Kirk going off on my Golden Eagles in the final four…..he just absolutely demolished D. Wade, Travis Diener and crew. We couldn’t do anything against them. Collison was good too, but Kirk was incredible.
We see that Kirk occasionally these days, we used to see that Kirk more in his first 3 years in the league….let’s get that Kirk back, as yesterday showed he can still play that way—but better actually.
that was my freshman year at Marquette. I hated Hinrich.
Kirk absolutely tore Wade and Diener apart that game. I’m pretty sure Kansas won by something like 40. Then, on draft night, instead of getting Wade like I was hoping we would, we end up with Hinrich. Needless to say, the hatred has subsided over the years.

and back then
Frank Williams owned Kirk.

yes
that play still bothers me. and this was also the series when we were pargo missed a free throw and kirk got the offensive board and kicked it back to pargo for a three to tie the game only to have arenas hit that buzzer beater at the end. and though i was pissed u knew that kirk played almost perfect defense. but it was one of those moments.
