About time?
When I watch NBA games I often call the fouls before the referees do. Sometimes it’s a gift. Most of the time it's troublesome. - NBA Observer

He never didn't like him.
He just thought he wouldn’t be all that we’ve seen him be so far until his second year or later. Which, granted, is what the organization has been doing by downplaying Rose all summer and into the preseason. How dare we enter the season with something to be excited about, right? I seem to never quite understand the Bulls on the business side of things.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

The position the Bulls management
takes on pretty much every issue surrounding this organization is incredibly frustrating. It’s such an old-man, downer approach. New ownership would be pretty sweet, but that’s only happening in a dream any time in the near future.
And seriously, when are people NOT supposed to get excited over THE NUMBER 1 PICK IN THE DRAFT?!?!?! Screw expectations and pressure, that’s a part of the deal. If there’s one organization in sports who knows how to quell excitement more than any others, it’s the Bulls. They should hold seminars on how to keep a level head at all times. They’ve certainly got that down pat. I wouldn’t want to play poker with Pax, JR, or Gar, though, that’s for sure.

The Bulls are good at the business side
as long as you limit the review to the bottom line – revenue and profits.

Meh
It also didn’t hurt that they got 13 years of the golden-egg laying laying goose known as Michael Jordan. Some of the things that make for favorable revenue streams now, like the good deal at the United Center and the bought and paid for Berto, probably owe a good chunk of their existence to him.
But hey, you know, maybe that guy was just a good ball player and it’s just coincidental. :)
