Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Chad Ford mentioned the Bulls might be interested in Lamar Odom in an article published earlier today at espn.com. This article quotes the relevant passage and offers up some trade ideas; I am partial to #6 myself.

Hughes will come off by osmosis

Kirk will be a valued piece in a trade

Noc we have to keep because he is our fire in the belly. That guy doesn’t have a Gold Medal for nothing.

The fire costs too much

If the contract was smaller I wouldn’t want to trade Noc, but it is is large and therefore it must go if the opportunity is there.

All six sound rosy

I like #2 the best. The rest look like the end result is fewer years of committed money, but pile on the front court players leaving less playing time for Thomas.

Odom, Farmar and Radmonivic can all hit the three which we need. Farmar and Rad play almost no defense, so if VDN has some 10 second shot clock offense the roster would be built for the “let the other team score” defense.

I like 3 & 5

1 or 2 isn’t appealing to me because it only exchanges the guards (Kirk for Farmar) as part of the deal…the idea is to remove one (aka free up the log jam)

i don't mind it that much

ideally, we need a guy to backup rose, but one who preferably does not command the salary or the minutes hinrich does. i don’t like our other 3 options at the pg spot.

but of course, always good to get rid of larry hughes.
