Road Trip Portland / Seattle

For the last several years my season ticket partner and I have discussed taking a Bulls roadtrip, but never got it worked out. This season looks good for a trip to Seattle & Portland in February.

Question:
Do the Bulls help season ticket holders with procurring tickets to Bulls away games?

Observation:
I love Chicago but you definitely pay a premium for living in a big sports city.
We have the 11 game plan which last year put us in Section 313 (SE Corner) Row 2. 11 Games $550.

Comparable seats in Seattle are $35/game. They offer a 12 ticket weekend package for $420.

Comparable seats in Portland are $21/game They offer a quarter season package (10 games) $210.
Front Row Center Court Upper level $43/game (10 Games $430.

They obviously are having trouble selling seats in Seattle because you can buy a 12 game package for seats virtually anywhere in the arena. Seats 9th Row Center court were $150 (12 games) $1,800.

You asked...
"Do the Bulls help season ticket holders with procurring tickets to Bulls away games?"

I own four season tickets. Based on my experience last year, the answer is no. They'll just direct you to NBA.com or the host team's website. It isn't like college football, where the visiting team gets an allotment. But you could try to call your ticket rep.

And yes, Bulls fans do pay a premium on tickets. I you want to see some REALLY cheap tickets, you should look at the Hornet's website (at least they were unbelievably cheap last season).

pistons tix are 1/2 bulls price across the board
then again, why would u wanna go there?

we have family friends that drop 52K a year for 4 courtside seats. If my math, and recollection, of bulls ticket values is accurate, that's about 1 jersey, 1 hot dog, and 2 200-level seats for a tuesday game against the kings

When you say Road Trip
Am I to understand you're going to drive from Chicago to the Pacific Northwest in February?  Or are you just calling it that and planning to fly?  Because that's probably not the ideal time to scoot 2500 miles in a car with some of it being over mountainous terrain.

Seattle
You definitely would not want to drive through the Cascades in winter.  Sometimes they just close I-90 due to avalanches, and you just sit and wait.  Have tire-chains & plenty of supplies.  The reason for slow ticket sales in Seattle is of course that everyone here assumes that the team will move next year.  Last week owner Clay Bennett (of Oklahoma) and the Seattle mayor called off a meeting because they were so far apart that there was nothing to discuss.  There is huge opposition here to another tax-funded stadium, and the Sonics appear determined to move unless they get one.  Note also that the Sonics won't be much fun to watch.  Perhaps Kevin D. will be worth the price of admission, but this team won about 30 games last year and has lost their two stars (Allen & Lewis).  Portland's another story, and could be a dynasty in the making with Roy, Oden, & co.  Still if you're looking for a deal my advice  would be to put the money towards the biggest, best TV you can find instead of flying to Seattle.
