Pax, PLEASE do not trade Chapu...
Chapu is so valuable to the Bulls that John Paxson made the rare move of a proactive offer to a restricted free agent.
Andres is the LIFE & SOUL of the Bulls and the symbol of the new generation of the Chicago Bulls. Nocioni averaged 14.1 points and 5.7 rebounds during the 2006 - 2007 season but was unfairly criticised from many haters for a poor performance against Detroit in the 2007 playoffs which was mainly due to the fact that he battled pain from plantar fasciitis in his right foot and a strained right quadriceps muscle.
His great performance against Miami in the 1st round of the 2007 Playoffs was quickly forgotten by an unforgiving media.
PAX you have made the first step in re-signing Chapu. Please do not trade him as part of any transfer deal. Noce is UNTOUCHABLE...

Is there a better comment thread
From the News-Herald:
If the Cavaliers are forced to match an offer sheet to Varejao from the Memphis Grizzlies that they deem exuberant, league sources say they have entertained thoughts of dealing Gooden.
The Cavs are already paying Gooden $6.4 million this year. In their thinking, they can't justify paying Varejao more than the starter.
So why not pay the lunch box swinging backup Nocioni instead? Duhon and Nocioni would fit in the Cavs slow-mo system, and their combined salaries would help Cleveland get rid of Ira Newble who barely saw the court last year. I'm not a capologist, so the trade machine needs to be updated before I can be accurate with salaries. I would take a real power forward over Nocioni, even an average one like Gooden.

I assume you were thinking of the appendix, which is believed to not have served a function ever since our herbivore ancestors evolved into omnivores a few million years ago.

Dedicated to all Nocioni Haters....
I truly believe that the signing of, say, Smith or Mihm plus the draft additions of Noah and combo guard JamesOn Curry and the return of Nocioni will be enough for the Bulls to take the next step and get to the Finals next year. You need to BELIEVE in this team...
