Eastern C.F. suck

I am watching these conference finals and is it me or can these teams not play offense.  What happened to detroit.  They were very proficient and smooth in executing their offensive plan against the bulls but for some reason cleveland is making their opponent play offense that is as bad as their own and as slow a lot of the times.  And even though the western finals arent phoenix vs. golden state, the spurs and the jazz are a lot more entertaining. Somehow they also manage to play well on defense and offense.

p+q-> r
fact: "my enemy's enemy is my friend"
p) Cavs and Pists are both "enemies" to Bulls
q) Cavs and Pists are "enemies" to each other
p + q -> r   ????????

yes, its a flat series to a bulls' fan, but I find the match up entertaining. Lebron has become quite a leader- the superstar that turns cleveland's mediocracy into contention.
Also, cleveland's defense works better than chicago's defense against detroit. Stopping lane drives...containing Prince...bigger front court...low post defense. Detroits smoothness and proficiency didnt just disappear- they are playing against a larger team that recognize:

  • Billups 1-1 low post game.
  • Hamiltons off the pick, turn, and pop shots
  • Princes back down, lefthanded inside game.
I find some enjoyment in watching my "enemies" battle it off (even though it really deep down inside- sucks bad *#%!!!!)

to me: p+q -> r = root for the underdog.

all things being equal
bulls fans should be rooting for cleveland;
  1. It's the pistons
  2. cleveland deserves some love after all thsoe years of heartbreak at our hands
  3. cavs are the weaker team so as to try to put the chip back in the west
  4. if the pistons lose theres a better chance of bilupps fleeing town meaning a weaker piston team while there is little room for improvement in the cavs
  5. because they are down, a cle win extends the series further making both teams less scary to the west

especially bc its a SC impossibility
cleveland doesnt have the money to make more than the MLE to bilupps; and froma  sign and trade aspect (which is silly bc det wouldnt wanna trade him) cleveland has no one to offer.......

WCF
Manubili shooting a jumper, and drawing a technical (!) foul on Fisher was the lowest point of the playoffs for me. Jerry Sloan too.

Manu
Maybe its because i igrew up n Argentina, but I find Manu Ginobili the most entertaining player left in the playoffs.  Even if George Karl thinks he is "ugly."

I dont mind players who get under other players skin.  All the best to them.  ACting, flopping should be part of the game.  I think the referees can tell when its complete flopping.  Varejao, nocioni and company get lots of no calls when they flop.

The Jazz lost their nerve.  Part of the game for me is keeping your focus and mental strength through bs calls and players like bowen and ginobili getting under people's skin.

it was a terrible call,
and faux-flops should get t'd next season. Manubili managed to do it on offense too, which is ridiculous. He wasn't under Fisher's skin by any means.
