Scott Skiles contract situation...

Not sure if this is the place to put this. Does anyone know what Scott Skiles' contract situation is like? I never thought about it much, but in Bill Simmons latest article about the Celtics and Doc Rivers he mentions:

"A number of proven guys could become available this summer, including Scott Skiles, Rick Carlisle and Jeff Van Gundy."

Not sure how credible he is about that, but is he implying that Skiles' contract is up or that the Bulls would go with someone else if they aren't successful in the playoffs?

The article is here: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/070413&sportCat=nba

SKiles deal was four years
and I don't know why Pax would void the next two if he had the chance.

Wait, if Isiah becomes available we should fire Skiles and go after him.  Isiah knows defense and unselfish play better than anyone.

I read that and was confused too
Simmons is likely just not paying attention.

Firing Skiles, for one thing, would be eating a lot of money. Even if the whole team takes a giant crap at midcourt (and maybe literally) during the playoffs, he's not going anywhere.

What the hell? Skiles is under contract until
08-09.

Regardless of how we fare in the playoffs, we are going to post our best record since the Jordan Era. Why the hell would we fire Skiles? Not to mention, Paxson and Skiles have forged a bond. Both view the game in the same manner.

I thinks Simmons is just a moron. Isn't he the same douchebag who, during the early losing streak on the west coast, unfairly lambasted the Bulls for acquiring Ben Wallace? I think he is.

Not sure
But in a previous blog, Simmons felt Skiles should be fired if the Bulls don't fare well in the playoffs (meaning they don't reach the Conference Finals). I guess he just feels the Bulls will lose early.

The Celtics
He's a huge celtics fan.  The fact that he even knows anything about them puts him in the top 1% of people in the country, I think.
