Hey, he's a big guard, the answer to all your prayers. And sent home by Sam Smith's best buddy Jerry Sloan.
Problem is, he's not only fallen out of favor because he doesn't 'mesh' with Sloan (which I wouldn't hold against him), but also because he's not very good. Topped out with a 56% TS% last season but is one of those players who you'd think is a good shooter (because he's European), but really isn't, and doesn't take three-pointers or gets to the line.
Still, as a rental, I'd give him a shot since he's at least offensive-minded and this team isn't exactly overflowing with quality guards.
Here's my package of trash. The Bulls do it for the bigger expiring deal (and they'd best do it now, as the contract couldn't be combined with others in a deal for 2 months.) The Jazz do it because they save nearly $500k in actual salary to stave off the big bad luxury tax. Plus, I still refuse to believe that Griffin's deal has a 3rd fully-guaranteed year. There's no way the Bulls were that dumb.
