Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

To Matt, and the Blogabull community.

Sorry I made this a diary, I couldnt figure out if we could do private messages here, and for one reason or another, my email (powered by NIU) just wont send out anything right now.

I want to appologize for my complete suck as a member. I know I tend to jump the gun when the Bulls are losing, and I am going to work on that. I certainly want to be liked, and I think it could help by me not declaring a loss in the 2nd quarter. I don't know why I do that, other than years of watching the Cubs. Sometimes, I can tell when a team will lose a winnable game (opening game against New Jersey, I just kept hoping for no overtime because I didn't think it would be good for the Bulls), but I guess even in those cases, I shouldn't declare loses early.

I'll do my best to become a good, upstanding member of the community. While it may not seem like it at times, I am an intellegent person when it comes to basketball. I'll do my best to show it, and not be annoying. Thank you for your ears. Matt, if you want to remove this thread after reading it, that's fine. I just want to say this.

FanPosts are user-created posts from the BlogABull community, and are to be treated as the opinions and views of that particular user, not that of the blogger or blog community as a whole.

wow
An apology. On a blog. I've never seen that. Congrats for having the courage to say I suck. I don't think matt hates u. This has been a trying season for all without the overly pessimistic comments and predictions. This is a bulls FANS website afterall besides that please feel free to express your feelings. Try reading other diaries and responses and I think you'll get it. Its ok to think that the bulls are going to lose but don't expect a pat on the back from their FANS for predicting it. Hongy hang in there.

I appreciate what appears to be a genuine apology.
This has been a trying year for all of us.  I looked forward to the start of the season as soon as the finals were over.  The extent of my disappointment reached it height with the lost to the Knicks who I despise.  This is the only place I know of where others understand how much I enjoy this team and the extent of my disappointment this year. I really appreciate this blog. The last thing we need is to be hurtful to each other.  We don't need more pain.  There has been enough for all of us watching this team's performance.

Wow is right...
It's just a game guys..even the players say that..let's not take this too seriously. But it is nice to see an apology on a blog...now I'm just waiting for one from hscs for being obnoxious...

Look at what it's done to us!
All this losing has had profound psycho-social effects on the Blog-a-Bull posting community. Some have responded with increased anger, others appear to be engaging in deep soul searching, others still are reverting to the role of arm-chair-psychologist to handle the grief of a suck-tastic start to the season.
If this continues, we should check Knicks blogs to see how the stages of grief develop and manifest themselves. In the meantime, self-medicate. Trust me, I'm pretending to be a doctor.

Good for you Hongydraw
Since this seems to be some sort of self-help group now and we are sharing significant emotional experiences, wtf does the name hongydraw come from?

when i was, i think 12
I joined an online website, Cartoon Orbit, during it's very early days. It was basically online trading cards of the cartoon network and kids WB characters, but there was alot more to it than that (if you want more info on it, I can tell you i guess). It ended up growing to become, at one point, the world's largest online community. I was on it for years, all the way through the middle of my freshman year of college, when it finally closed.

They did not let you choose your own name on the site, probably because it was owned by a kids channel, and assigined everybody a 3 part username. Mine was 'Hong Draw Robot1'. When I was still really young, I tried to join one of the many cartoon orbit fan websites, I figured i'd just use my user name, but it was too long for that particular website, so I figured HongyDraw was the closest thing I could pronounce, and I ended up using it on every Orbit club/website/fansite that I joined, as pretty much everybody kept used the same name on all the sites they were on so you knew who you were talking to.

Normally, I use my email name, Drclaw411 (made this name when I was even younger and just never changed it, i have no idea why i picked it) when I join websites and blogs and stuff. But, for whatever reason, I when I tried to join Blogabull, it just wouldn't load all the way when I tried to join under that name, so I closed the internet, reopened it, and used the only other name I ever use online, HongyDraw, so I just picked that and it worked.
