Hope for Bulls sprouts from Knick destruction

It is likely that Isaih Thomas will be fired and the Knicks will enter a new era looking to go in a different direction.  HoopsHype has a nice summary of the mess HoopsHype summary.  I know this is a long shot, but think outside the box. The Knicks have too many low post players and not enough good guards. The Bulls have too many guards and no low post threat. A new Knick GM would be more likely to deal with the Bulls than Thomas who was burned in the Curry deal. I would be looking to obtain David Lee and yes Eddie Curry. Lee is a solid low post threat who plays both ends of the floor. I have been watching Curry and his defense is worse than when he was a Bull.  Skiles had him playing better defense.  If the Bulls give up Wallace, Khryapa, JamesOn Curry, etc. they could take on Malik Rose, etc, to get Lee and Curry.  The Knicks keep Randolph so they continue to have a low post threat.  Thomas has been souring on Curry and his defense is a problem but with Lee and Curry we would open up the floor for our guards.  I still maintain our guards have too much pressure on them to carry the load night after night.  I despise Marbury but the Bulls may have to agree to take his contract (they obviously would immediately buy him out) to get Lee and Curry.  We would have to give up Wallace, which wouldn't bother me, and Reinsdorf may have to assume a financial hit to make this work.

The specifics need to be tweeked but there may be hope and opportunity in the Knick ashes.
