This ruling reinforces the perception of a team and management out-of-control.
Dolan and Thomas' arrogance is demonstarted by allowing this to go to trial. Thomas feels he can persuade anyone of anything by smiling and lying. He obviously didn't persuade the jury. I have a friend who knows Dolan and I hear is just as bad as Thomas. The Knicks are the poster boy for what can go wrong in sports. This ruling shows that there is some justice in this world.
I do not anticipate Thomas will be fired. Dolan probably will reward him with a contract extension. I also doubt the league will do anything. I also am curious to how the New York fans will react. I believe there was something that came out in the trial about Thomas making a disparaging comment about white season ticket holders.
