Apparently, the Bulls have now set their sight on Roy according to Chicago newspapers. Even though I previously wrote that Pax should draft Thomas at 2, I also like this pick. He certainly would solve their "big guard" problem and would be take the pressure of scoring off Hinrich and Gordon. He's an above average defender and handles the ball like a point guard. If you watched the Illini-Wash game last tourney, Roy was pretty amazing. He does it all. He might not be the flashiest, but he will definitely step in right away and contribute. I've heard comparisons of him to Dwayne Wade, because nobody knew about them in college and both are all around great players. Hope that's true. Don't forget that we don't know if/when Duhon's back is going to fully recover for the start of next season. Also, there are no FA guards this summer even close to Roy's talent, IMO. All the FAs the Bulls are looking at are bigs. If Pax does make this pick, look for him to possibly take NC State's Cedric Simmons at 16 if he doesn't trade it. Simmons is being compared to Ben Wallace. He's a shot blocker, rebounder, and a great passer because of his experience in a Princeton-style offense. But if we do get Roy, that would be a great pick.
