Thomas Vs Aldrige

Taken from

Great info on most of the 1st round prospects, if you havent seen it already (most probably have) check it out! Hopefully this gives some people a little more to go on (or confuses them even more) lol

LaMarcus Aldridge - 6'11", 245

NBA Position: Center / Power Forward | College: Texas / Sophomore
NBA Comparison: Channing Frye

Strengths: Considered by many to be the top big-man prospect in the Draft ... soft touch within 12 feet of the basket ... continues to work on expanding range ... has good hands ... firm knowledge and understanding of fundamentals ... excels mainly on the offensive end ... added close to 25 pounds of muscle between freshman and sophomore seasons, which made him a more confident player ... runs the floor especially well for a 7 footer ... good shot blocker, with long arms ... should get a fair number of swats at the next level ... owns many effective post moves, including a go-to jump hook ... has even developed an impressive sky hook ... good at positioning under the basket ... shines on the offensive glass.

Tyrus Thomas - 6'9", 220

NBA Position: Power Forward | College: LSU / Freshman
NBA Comparison: Shawn Marion

Strengths: Agile big man with cosmic leaping ability ... feathery touch between 12 and 15 feet ... impressive turn-around jumper ...spectacular dunker ... explosiveness is unrivaled among college post players ... a terrific shot-blocker ... loves to run and get out on the break ... enormous wingspan ... plays bigger than 6'9" frame ... has good hands ... plays with an edge--loves to dunk ... first-rate passer with vision ... has enormous upside.

With regard to people saying Aldrige wont/cant be a 5, his size (6'11", 245) is simalar to other possible FA targets Nazr (6-10 250) and Priz (7-1", 255). Having already put on 25lbs, he obviously wont have much of a problem gaining extra bult with NBA trainers.

Thoughts?

aldridge
he actually weighs 234 pounds...all these estimates in general of player weights etc.. are ussualy way off.  234 is not enough to play center.  But i do think he should be able to put on 10 pounds and become a legit option at center.
