'06 picks...
But my guess is that a more likely Paxson draft combo will be Carney and Splitter. Carney has really looked great in a leading role for Memphis lately (although I should mention that my Rice Owls... where I'm a grad student... did a nice job on him last weekend... he went 5-16 against a mediocre team... which really should just not happen... seems like his recent ascent on draft boards may have shook him... or maybe he just had an off night against a team he thought they could roll over). I don't know much at all about Splitter other than what is on the draft websites... but from those descriptions at least he seems like a good fit... inside tough presence... good rebounder & shot blocker... decent but not great offensive player. Also one of the Chicago papers (I believe two weeks ago?) mentioned Pax has recently been in Europe scouting him personally... but who Paxson was focussing on is probably assumed knowledge at best. Also apparently there is an issue with Splitter's buy-out with his present team. Aldrige I'm a big fan of... although if you catch a Texas game it is absolutely ridiculous how bad his guards are at getting him the ball in the post... also he appears to be able to get good position at will at the college level. But when he does actually get the ball... he is really fluid and has a great jumper... maybe till ~15 feet or so. I'm less impressed with his defense... but if he is able to play similar to how he has this year (I thought his game against Duke and Williams was a decent gauge)... it will certainly be ahead of Curry's (i.e. it's not that bad... especially I have to believe standing next to Chandler).

thanks
of course, we might need to lose one of those first 3 to help get a star. the bulls need a solid go-to high fg% 20ppg guy who attacks the basket. i feel that would open up so much for this team. of course, now you're going to ask me who that guy is...
i'm just saying, the bulls are solid now, and i don't think it would be wise to start over again, enticing as those young kids are.
