Around SBN: PHOTOS: Mike Moser's Dunk Face Is Spectacular

Mmm Mmm good

They are starting to gel aren't they.  I watched only sparingly but I did notice some things.

First, Noc, Ben Gordon, Hinrich and Deng all represent legitimate offensive options.  Earlier this year, we couldn't get anything going because of a lack of scoring options.  I also don't care what you all say, Duhon, while not a "scoring option" is a reasonable point per minute scorer and is now an effective enough shooter to worry about if your the other team.  Sweets is a nice change of pace as is Malik when healthy.

Most significantly, I am VERY impressed with Thabo.  He can definately handle the ball enough to bring it up.  He is a great passer, now can hit his shot and has great defensive instiincts.  I remember him guarding Redd earlier this year and staying with him.  A backcourt of Hinrich and Thabo would be a great defensive one.  Finally, lets give some props to Deng for his D on Pierce.  I'll be at the Philly game, lets make it 6 in a row.

Duhon does look like he's shooting better.
He still needs to take more open 3's. He has a nice shot but for some reason he holds back on wide open 3's. It seems he likes to run up to the 3 point line instead of getting the ball off a pass and set shooting. Also did you see his crossover then pull up jumper? Very nice to see him get better.

Thabo for Starting 2 guard!
I like Duhon but not as a starter. Sefo barley ever makes a mistake. He is Active, Quick, Smart, good passer, Nice mid rang shooter. Had a nice fade away as the shot clock was winding down. He seems to always play well. I hope by the end of the season he's starting. I know he's a rookie but all those years in the Euro leagues I think you can almost call him a vet. This guy is going to be star. I hope Skiles gets him in the Starting rotation.

Thabo
I must agree. I love Duhon but am more in love with a bigger defensive backcourt.

I like what
Thabo brings to the game too. Did any of you notice towards the end of the game and the bench was starting to let the Celts score more than Skiles liked he called a 20 second time out? Thabo was fired up and clapping his hands and encouraging his team to play harder. Love his enthusiasm.
Thabo....the accent is sweet!!

yeah!
I actually did notice. I think he knew about the big macs. I'm thinking he noticed the crowd booing after so many bad shots and wanted to give the crowd what they wanted. I too love his energy. He's gonna be better than Doug Cristie (Whom everyone compares him to).

Much better than Doug Christie
IF his shot is as decent as it looks so far.  Clearly he can play excellent defense and cares enough to do so.  Clearly he can pass, in fact exceptionally.  He's got a good body for a 2.  If he can shoot, drive and finish as consistently as he has so far then he will be a starter for a long time and probably an allstar.  Forget Doug Christie and look more to Pippen with a few more assists and a few less rebounds.

sounds dreamy
but I'm a pessimist. I sure hope he turns out to be like Pip but I honestly think Pippen is one of the greatest players to ever play. I don't know if Thabo can reach those hights.

Pippen
with more assists? Pip was a career 5.2 assist per game player, and he was the prototypical 'point forward', if not the first one. The triangle ran through Scottie, and I don't see Sefolosha becoming the Bulls main playmaker. I really don't believe Sefolosha will be an elite defender, and comparing the guy to Doug Christie seems quite a bit more fair than comparing him to a hall of fame player. Without going too deep into Christie's game, he was a good defender with handles and he could hit open jumpers. Sefolosha seems to be of that mold, not an all-timer like Pip.

Sorry Paxson.
That was a very realistic and clear minded assessment.  We can't have any of that stuff around here.
