Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Pssst, Assists?

Don't look now

Star-divide

but it seems like Ben may be a channeling a little Arvydas.  Ok, while he's nowhere near Sabonis, has anybody else found Big Ben's passing to be a revelation.  I always knew he was a heady player and I've seen him make some good passes in the past, however, he's been on a tear lately.  On top of that, he's averaging an extra apg versus last year without a noticeable uptick in turnovers.  Last night, he dropped some impressive dimes.  Is anybody else seeing this or am I just, um, dum?
Clearly, any assist is one assist more than Chandler could offer.

Is the difference from this season and last. I agree with your observation about Ben's passing, but a stat (that doesn't exist) I'm curious about is how many more touches Ben is getting on offense compared to his Flip season. I would imagine the ball is in his hands quite a bit more with the Bulls, and it's a good thing.

Imagine the party in Bryan Colangelo's pants if Sabonis was a young Euro looking to get into the NBA now. It would have been nice to watch Sabonis play when he was young and in shape.
