Point guard controversy

Apparently Ben Gordon thinks he should be playing the point:

"Gordon, the starting two guard, said point probably is his better position, but Kirk Hinrich has that spot.

''I have the tools to do it because guys have to cover me on offense, and that makes it easier to make plays for others,'' Gordon said.

I hope this doesn't have anything to do with his "inconsistency"

Ben
said the same thing last year. One game does not make him a point guard.

The article also says
Ty may not play bc he's still having trouble breathing with the mask.

Just another reason to hate Miami.

No kidding
This mask thing is really setting Ty back, which really sucks after seeing so many glimpses of awesomeness. Freaking James Posey!

If he's so dead set on being a point
I'm sure there are plenty of shitty teams around the league where he can be one.

'Cause he turns over the ball so much that's what a full-time point guard Ben Gordon would make any team. (In my opinion, of course)

Let's send him to
New York.

I don't really see this
becoming a huge issue for anyone, except maybe Ben if he really thinks he should play PG.  I don't see Skiles moving Kirk in favor of Ben.  However, I did see one play last night where Ben brought the ball up and Kirk looked like he was calling for it.  Just a short sequence - Ben brought it up and took a shot (one of the 9 that missed), Kirk had his hands out toward the ball and looked to be calling for it, and when Ben just shot it without a pass or anything kind of clapped his hands and looked frustrated.  Could be something Skiles will have to address with Ben if he's now seeing himself as a second point.

I suppose it's the kind of thing that could become an issue for a team, but I don't think Skiles and Paxson let it develop into anything big, assuming there's even anything there.

Excuse making
My main concern is that he is making excuses for failure. He may have convinced himself that he would be better off at the point and now he has a built in excuse for not doing well at the 2. If he dosen't think he can do it he won't.

gordon is the best option
i rather have gordon at the one.thabo needs more playing time because of his size. He can shoot and do everything. The size is of mass importance and will help our small team. By the way check out this cool sports blogging http://sportsworld.smfforfree.com/index.php

Did you see the game tonight?

Not sure
but I think Gordon maybe had the number 1 spot on the bench tonight.
