[From the Diaries. I generally agree with this sentiment, although (half)watching the game last night I was much more upset.
I'll have more on the Cavs game later.Maybe I'll have thoughts tommorow. No, they don't include trading Ben Gordon. -Matt]
The Bulls are struggling, but that was expected. Everything the Bulls do is built on team cohesion, whether it is on defense or offense. Phoenix struggles early for the same reason. There are going to be games where the offensive timing or the defense timing on help is off. Remember the Bulls are playing 5 new players in their rotation. Last night was a night when Cavs were hot and the Bulls were cold.
Positives: Deng has been more aggressive so far, and he will get even better as the year goes on. Nocioni's shooting form is coming back. Hinrich is shooting much more consistently so far. Thabo will very likely be playing 20 minutes/game by the end of the year. T2 needs to settle down, but he won't be a bust.
Negatives: Gordon will likely remain a 30 min/game player. Allen looks awful, and I would always rather see VK in the game. Hopefully, Skiles will make the switch. The Bulls are still figuring out how to play with Wallace offensively. The guards kick the ball out to him, and then the offense stalls because no one goes out to guard Wallace. P.J. really struggles to finish in traffic.
