Around SBN: Josh Hamilton's Unique Public Statement On His Addiction

ESPN Chandler comment

From ESPN.com's review of Hornets (fantasy fix)

"Sleeper: Tyson Chandler ..If he can avoid the injury bug, Chandler will receive the most minutes he ever has....."

Didn't Bulls want to play Chandler more?  I believe it was only his stamina and foul trouble which kept him from earning more mins - talking about when he was performing well of course.  Not trying to bash on Chandler but I don't think its fair statement to say Bulls didn't give him oportunity to play when healthy.

Chandler's problem was fouls, fouls, and fouls. And fouls.

Skiles wanted to keep him on the court, but he'd commit the silly fouls, and they'd have to pull him.  Frustrated Pax and Skiles both.

my...
favorite tyson moment was at a portland game last year... he fouled a portland player, fell down, got called for the foul, and proceeded to flip off the referee, earning him a technical and a seat on the bench.

tyson will always be an effort and hustle type player, but to get to the next level, you have to learn.  i don't think he was able to learn much in his years in chicago... i hope he picks up more with his new team.

noc, on the other hand, is an effort and hustle type player who has been able to adapt his game to the nba... those are the keepers...

I loved Tyson but he never could live up the
KG hype. It seemed like such a great idea at the time. 2 young 7 footers.

This is bullshit, tyson coudn't stay on the floor.
I once did a calculation that I now forgot and it related the bulls winning percentage when Tyson played over 30 minutes v. when he played under 30 min.  They were significantly more succesful when he could stay on the floor.  The only reasons he did not play enough minutes was a. stupid fouls, b. his teenage body could not guard a man's body (in other words, some games he was simply outmatched and had to sit) and c. he would just simply not have it some games.  That article is just another example of someone looking at the surface of an athletic 7 footer and not looking deaper.  This is why someone like Brad Miller had flown under the radar for so long.  he didn't look like a player but is an allstar.  He knows how to play professional basketball.  Tyson does not.  Ben Wallace does.  Yeah pax
