Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Isaiah, 'Nuff Said

Hey Matt, it's been a long time since I posted so I decided to included a little 'Nuff said.. ...you know, just to curry some favor.

Star-divide

Looks our favorite illogical GM and Head Coach is at it again in this week's wacky rendition of "What Might Isaiah Do".  Apparently, his pre-eminent scouting abilities have allowed him a unique and revealing view on one Mr. Anthony.
Read on and enjoy.
Truly, I think Isaiah may be certifiable and I stand by my prediction that the Knicks will not improve more than 5-8 wins over last year.
'Nuff Said.
Well, except this.
Nocioni!!!!!!

Next week
On "What Might Isaiah Do", we'll review how Isaiah came to acquire Mr. Balkman.  Trading away a lottery pick that could have netted a better Balkman; acquiring Balkman some 30 picks too early and throwing away expiring contracts in a wild attempt to get a nickel on the dollar with some late 1st round throw-in picks.

Although
'Nuff Said is our dear blogger's catch phrase, I was considering posting this (until I realized I don't care about the Knicks at all, and it will be covered ad nauseum everywhere else) with the headline "Isiah to Anthony: 'Funk You'."

You kind of have to read the article to get that.

I do like Zeke a little more after he ripped Anthony, but it's for all the wrong reasons. Thomas was never a Knick, and playing the team loyalty card with Anthony is pretty pointless.

Will the Ginobili/Nocioni era ever be over?

If Isiah really thought much of Balkman
He wouldn't have spent $30 million on a player with, at best, the same skill set in the same off-season he drafted Renaldo.

At this point
can your really apply logic to Thomas' decisions? Plus it takes two 'hustle' guys to replace the hustle JYD used to say he had. Good for Balkman on the preseason success, not that it means anything.

This is why
ESPN 2 should keep the halftime crew of Anthony, Legler and Stephen A. Smith together.  It would definitely be entertaining to listen to them rip Isiah for an hour every few nights.  It Balkman plays more than 10 min a night then Isiah was right to draft him, but wrong about everybody else on his roster.  If he doesn't play that much, he was wrong to draft him and still wrong about everybody on his roster...

Oh Isiah
I love that Isiah rips his own team when he says, "I know a Piston wouldn't do that.  These Knicks - what a bunch of a-holes."  Um, Isiah, that's your team now.  I also like that this has bothered him since the draft so much that he basically has an outburst about it four months later.

I had been getting nervous about a Knicks improvement this year, resulting in a lesser draft pick.  But then Isiah reminds me that he's Isiah.  God bless you and your wacked out head, Isiah.

I'm glad someone just brought that up...
Didn't Ben Wallace (a former Piston) recently rip into his former head coach, and still current-Piston's head coach, a couple weeks ago?  I guess Isiah doesn't follow basketball news, which would explain why he thought Eddy Curry was worth trading unprotected picks for.
